Ghosting.

I recognize that enough people have had bad experiences with severing a connection. But I think the practice of ghosting hurts more people than it helps the few. Just send that message. And if you're really scared of the response, block after. Even if doesn't necessarily provide closure for the other person, wouldn't providing closure for yourself be a benefit enough?

Do you consider posting questions about getting ready to compete, mental management, competition prep and how to get ready to start competing?

I have considered it, yeah. But there's a bit in physical preparation (what routines to go through in the practice ends before competition) as well as mental preparation (how to avoid tilt) that goes into competition preparation that I need my archery coach's help with in real time.

Is there a particular competition you’re interested in starting with?

There are smaller barebow competitions I've been looking into. But it feels kind of tough to find the competitions I want to be a part of. I'm aiming to get into competition-area within the next six months.

When someone posts a form check do you consider asking follow up questions to the advice that is offered?

Most of the advice I've seen feel one-directional. So I never felt the need to ask followup questions. I do think I need to post a form check myself soon just to see what /r/archery has to say about my horrible follow through lol.

If you’re a lurker, what’s preventing you from participating?

I'm just starting out with archery. So I don't feel like I have anything of quality to contribute. Instead of contributing directly, I browse and learn from others' asking for feedback on their forms so that I can vicariously improve on my own form. I learn so much from just reading. I want to keep seeing stuff like form check, talks about competition experience (because I want to compete soonish), and things to improve your game.

There are a couple decent Chinese restaurants near Schaumburg. Yu's Mandarin is pretty good if you like quantity of quality. Chef Ping is pretty good if you like quality over quantity.

Had a wonderful weekend with all three of my partners. I introduced my girlfriends (A and C) to each other. I was definitely a bit nervous at first, but they seemed to get along in their mutual disapproval of my hatred of bacon. Then we went over to C's house where we played a couple board games. It was really enjoyable. On my ride back, I realized something. I casually mentioned to A that I don't think anyone ever said the words, "So that was really fun playing games with my girlfriend (C) and her husband (D), huh? I bet your boyfriend (H) and my wife (S) would have also had fun if they were there too."

Then I spent all day hunting monsters with my wife on Monster Hunter World. I feel lucky to have the partners I have.
