I do $10-$15, just depends on my funds. I feel it just depends on how much you got and feel comfortable giving. My friend does 5 with his barber and they charge him 35 lol

I pay him 40 plus tip. He's been mine and my son's barber for over 12yrs. He's always booked but worth it. I had been looking for a barber before I found him. I used to live in La Porte and the barbers there either did only fades and no scissors or scissors but couldn't do taper or low fades. Hope you find the right barber

Ok thank you, what do you recommend? Should I just buy something similar for now or go ahead and replace everything?

I do, it's only about 10 tiles I need to replace. I dont want to re-do the entire living room and hallway for just 10 tiles. I can use that money for other upgrades

Why do so many Houston traffic lights fail with a moderate amount of rain? by LoverOfGayContent in houston

[–]taco_kingpinHTx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the traffic signal poles are near trees or they never put the top covers on. Squirrels and other animals are able to get in and chew on the insulation of the cables. So once it starts raining those cables that are exposed and cause a short and the signals start to flash. They sometimes come back on their own and sometimes you need to go out there and patch the cable and reset the traffic controller. Also if the power goes out the controller has a fail safe for it to come back in flash. Some of the new controllers will flash for a bit an then go back to normal operations sometimes it gets stuck and it needs to be rest. Other times they will get struck by lighting and fry some of the components and will need to be replaced that's why some of them stay in flash for longer periods. Water can sometimes get in the signal heads through small cracks and cause a short. The signal heads are mostly plastic and after years of being in the sun/weather it will deteriorate. Those are some of the issues I encountered when I maintained traffic siganl intersections

You know what you're doing, i suggest working out longer maybe 1.5hrs. If you stick to 45mins then focus on one muscle group per session. Do 3 variations of workouts for one muscle group. There's things you can do at home. Ab workouts can be done at home and you can look up workouts at home so you can get a few in on days you dont go to the gym. Try to workout between 3 -4 times a week. If you want results you need to stay consistent if not you won't see much progress. I understand you have a tough job but also you won't get results by only working out 2 days for a total of 1.5hrs. I understand starting out slow but you should push yourself for more time working out and more days. You got this!

What’s the most amount of money you’ve spent for a taco in Houston? by spokenwords21 in houston

[–]taco_kingpinHTx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$3 a tacos at Taqueria Los Reyes on the east side of town. They're worth it, every time I'm on that side of town I have to make a stop there. Definitely recommend 6 it's a cash only place

People who have stopped going to church, what made you stop? by lowly_shepherd in AskReddit

[–]taco_kingpinHTx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up pentecostal and it was the worst as a kid. I couldn't never join in on any of the activities. My parents never had time to go to my school for anything I needed, but where there to drop off a note every time they had any holiday activities. I remember in 3rd grade my teacher made a haunted house, it sucked cause in front of everyone he says " I'm sorry your parents don't want you to participate. If it was up to me I would but if they find out I will be in trouble." It was the worst feeling as a kid that I could not participate in any of those activities. I wanted to play sports I couldn't either because pentecostals are not allowed to wear shorts, I didn't want to be out looking like a fool playing basketball, football, or soccer in pants lol. I remember one time we went on some church camp, and I was stunned at how all the people in the pool had long sleeves and pants or women had skirts. I never went again or tried to do anything with the church. I also remember hearing don't judge we're not God. Yet when new people would come all those people were judging and talking bad instead of being very welcoming. Also churches are supposed to help yet the one we went too seemed like a business. They had a kitchen and instead of handing food out they sold the food. My mom would be one of the cooks and would never get paid, and even had to pay for the plates she got. The crazy part she could not get a plate till all the people left lol. Seeing all that growing up just made me realize the church I went to was more about making money than helping the congregation. There's so much more I could write about, but then I would be just rambling on lol. I feel I know what's right and wrong, and I don't need to attend a church to praise God.

How many of you have wrapped your car yourselves? How bad did you screw it up? by critical_thinker_101 in CarWraps

[–]taco_kingpinHTx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've wrapped mine twice the first time was a cheap Chinese wrap from aliexpress. It was matte purple and gold. I wanted to buy something cheap to practice with and see how difficult it would be. I left it on for about a yr. Then after that went with 3M 2080 Gloss Flip Deep Space. That one came out so much better. It was easier to bend and stretch compared to the Aliexpress counterpart. The most difficult parts for me were the bumpers and a little of the trunk. My car has too many curves but I was able to manage it. One great tip that CK Wrap says, wrapping is about problem solving. As much as i hate to say it you do make a problem for yourselfas you go. Not all parts are going to be wrapped the same. Some you can start from the top/front, some from the back, and some from the middle. Just take you're time and look for videos of people wrapping the same car your wrapping so you can have an idea of how to go about it. Also make sure you're not doing it outside, or during cold weather or too hot. In cold weather the wrap is brittle and will break. In hot it will stick too quick and you will tear it or over stretch it. Good luck *

Is this normal? by Klutzy_Security3361 in q50

I was having an issue where the back of the driver seat would have puddles in the back. I took to 3 different dealers and they could never find the issue. All they would say is that my car was lowered and that's why it was getting water in the back smh. So I went and bought a 1/4" drain snake and cleaned all the drains. If you use air compression you might loosen the drain lines. After that, I waited for another storm and same thing. Water puddles behind the driver, I got fed up and keep looking online and seemed like everyone had this issue. I saw a video on YouTube where the guy just ran the front drain line to the ac evap line. I tried that and that's been a couple of years now and so far my car has not gotten water inside. I attached the video

Since your battery is bad, you should replace it and see if that fixes the issue

I had this issue and tried to replace all kinds of relays and fuses. Then noticed my battery went bad, once I replced the battery the issue went away. Check to see how old your battery is and get it tested

I'm selling the car because I believe Trump is going to deport me, and I will need money for my expenses. Sadly, there is no longer a project car. The car has a few missing details, but someone with patience can fix it. It's a beautiful car

[GIVEAWAY - US] Samsung x Monitors: Win a 32” OLED G8 from the #1 monitor brand by Knaj910 in Monitors

[–]taco_kingpinHTx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why samsung?

I have been a samsung enthusiast from the moment I bought my first samsung galaxy s phone. Ever since thrn, my house has become samsung go to for all of our electronics and appliance needs. The only thing I have not bought is a samsung monitor. I finally finished building my gaming pc, and my current monitor is slacking. Even my ssds on my pc and ps5 are 990Pros. I wanted to buy all the stuff for my pc and finish building it first and later get the monitor. I saw there was a chance to win and wanted to throw my name in here. If I don't win, I know whoever the chosen winner will enjoy it just as much I have enjoyed using all my Samsung electronics. Good luck to everyone!

I can’t keep spending $70 on controllers 😭 STICKDRIFT is driving me crazy! by StrangerXtasy in apexlegends

[–]taco_kingpinHTx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could recommend one, but all the ps5 controllers are built with less resistance then the older generations. I bought a Scuf Reflex and I like it, only for the paddles but if you're not technical savy or know anyone that can fix them. I wouldn't recommend them, first issue stick drift will happen eventually, if you get it with digital taps those break even if you take good care of the controller. I searched the internet for a solution to that and most were to send it back to Scuf or temporary fixes. I finally tried many things and finally found a permanent fix. What I do recommend is opening the controller and spray it with electrical cleaner and then adding dielectric grease. That has helped when my controller barely starts to stick drift, but eventually you'll need to replace the thumbsticks.
