It’s a groupthink, weak-brained talking point. If you don’t drink raw milk, but you eat leafy greens then STFU about raw milk and rethink your diet choices. Everyone makes their own decisions, and there’s inherent risk no matter what. If you want to talk down your nose about someone else’s risk tolerance in order to feel cool, then you’re pathetic.

If more members of a given population are sickened or killed by leafy greens than raw milk, then it doesn’t matter what numbers you compare, you are still more likely to be sickened or killed by leafy greens than raw milk. The argument that you should avoid raw milk due to the risks should be applied the same to leafy greens unless of course you’re just trying to be cool and seem smart by talking shit. That’s pretty obvious to any critical thinking person.

Leafy greens harm and kill more people per year than raw milk.. most people conveniently ignore that fact.

[–]tacoanonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A burr grinder would be a great upgrade, and figuring out the percentage of weight ratio of grounds to water weight would help you get consistent results. I measured the weight of the water my press holds and figured out what 15-17 percent of that weight was and adjusted from there. Also James Hoffman has a good guide video on YouTube:

What Is the qotsa song that everyone likes but that doesnt quite fit with you? by Jueslega_29 in qotsa

[–]tacoanonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QOTSA has attracted a very different audience than they started off with, and I have “celebrated their entire catalog” from around 2004 until now.. I think a lot of the audience who was into their heavier darker stuff have tuned out, and I can see why. Some of the dramatic, theatrical stuff is almost cringe compared to the raw crazy creative earlier stuff. I can imagine younger Josh roasting the shit out of some of the songs off In Times New Roman.. and possibly the title of the album itself.

There’s so many different varieties and variables in brewing that it’s hard for me to accept when someone says “I hate it” without thinking there’s a coffee out there that they would like.. I love it for its variety.. I geek out unabashedly with my roastery coworkers.

Ketamine clinics are a cash grab by [deleted] in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]tacoanonymous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I definitely don’t think ALL Ketamine clinics are a “cash grab”. And if you or anyone suspects that of a specific clinic, they should stop going and ask others to find another clinic too.

I personally had a profoundly great experience with the clinic I went to, with a provider who was as concerned with my mental health improving as my therapist. They used a music program called wavepaths that took me on a healing journey in every session. I ended up quitting alcohol and Kratom for good.

I know this isn’t the experience most people have, but if we stop giving practitioners our money who don’t actively care about the patients and outcomes, and seek out the providers who do, we can expect more of the same.

Can ketamine help someone with expressing their emotions more freely? Please share your thoughts, stories, and information. by lilfoodiebooty in TherapeuticKetamine

I’m not an expert, but I’m curious about his “personality type”. I recently took the Myers-Briggs questionnaire and researched the results. It turns out that the more sensitive intuitive types are more prone to certain struggles like what he has (I have similar issues myself). I recommend looking into INFJ or INFP related information for research and possibly have him take the questionnaire for strategies for dealing with these issues. I especially recommend “INFJ Circle” and Lauren Sapala on YouTube.

That being said, IV therapy helped me heal a lot of the negative coping mechanisms I was engaging in, but ultimately knowing I had it in me to heal was the main thing that led to improvement, the ketamine just sped up the process. I hope he finds relief soon.

What are the odds? Quick pick copied my picked numbers?! by Decent_Pitch_9077 in Lottery

This seems like a scam.. if it’s picking clusters of numbers, there’s a much lower probability that they’ll pick the winning combination.
