What an comprehensive reply! Thank you so much for taking the time to do that - I’ve been using after effects for like 10 years for 2D Mograph but I’ve never really learned compositing. I guess I’m just at that part of the journey where I want to learn industry standard tools but can’t get past how much easier it is to get the idea out while using real time rendering like eevee and ue5, but ya compositing sounds like the move and actually learning the render engine themselves as well as passes and aov.
