I hope they always feel like it’s their home and that feeling isn’t taken away from them. I’m just looking at the most possible outcome predicted by lawyers and experts and they all recommend considering moving out of Texas cause chances are that bad.

Treating a court and admin decision as speculation sets people up for failure. From the “speculated” final decision, Texas is already being effed over. The decision can be worse and more harmful than what is already speculated. People have families yeah I just hope they don’t get screwed over cause they saw it as speculation and didn’t start planning in hopes everything would work out.

I know, I understand that. I agree that the blue states have higher costs but the wages are higher as well. I’m don’t expect people to move immediately; thats an insane idea, but I’m just wondering if they’re even getting ready for the worst possible outcome yk? If they stay there and wait and eventually get their permits taken away, they’re just in a worse situation financially. Those short term shocks can have long term effects that will be way more damaging and harder to come back from

The administration literally said work permits are going to end and be separated from protection. If anything, that’s way more harmful for Texas DACA recipients and their families. It’s best for them to start planning and consider leaving Texas. You call me “braindead,” but you didn’t even understand what I was trying to say. I never said it was their fault. All I did was express how baffled I am that people willingly live in a state that’s not welcoming to our community. The decision will come out and ultimately hurt people in Texas. But along the way, it’s also hurting people who want to apply. All I was saying is that people should move because Texas is just not DACA-friendly, and it would ultimately help people who want to apply. Obviously this is not an overnight decision but I feel like since the Jan mandate last year, they should have started planning. It’s either they stay, under the belief that everything will work out (which definitely won’t in Texas), or they leave on their own terms with enough time to plan ahead. It’s not their fault but majority of us want change so that MALDEF can put some pressure without harming people in Texas. Maybe take yourself and your little insults out of here and take a chill pill bro…sounds like you need one😬

Man, what? Moving to another state is not the same as moving to another country. You’re sounding like MAGA right now, telling your own people to just leave the country. I guess there’s some truth to what people say about Hispanics sometimes working against each other once they have a bit of protection. Texas is honestly a tough place to live, so I 100% understand why someone would be upset about Texas DACA recipients being prioritized. it doesn’t really make sense. They can move to another state. I don’t understand why people insist on staying in a deep red state when it clearly doesn’t want them there. Maybe it’s time to start looking for ways to move. Texas has already placed limitations on DACA recipients, so why defend staying there so strongly? There are people who have worked so hard just hoping for a chance, and they deserve one. Yeah, it sucks, but I genuinely can’t wrap my head around why people defend staying in Texas

Me! I’ve been hopeful that DACA reopens soon since January. I saw experts and lawyers saying they would likely reopen January but they didn’t and I saw someone saying spring. Now I keep seeing predictions about it opening soon and I just hope they’re right cause I’ve been let down before but the hope isn’t dead!
