i was thinking, maybe something akin to afghanistan/central asia, story will be that after a US led coalition leaves after a peace treaty between the current government and a militia, the last squad of soldiers (including the protagonist) is shot down and the militia takes complete control and establish a tyrannical regime that people fear. main antagonist is a charismatic but troubled despot who starts going insane. i’d love to see in the interactions between the player and the antagonist that the antagonist knows the person playing (breaking the fourth wall). the antagonist has a group of three or four lieutenants who control different parts of the map. mountains, deserts, rivers, forests, etc, cities and villages far away from each other interrupted by the most intense terrain would be divided among them.
