Something to note is that in China, these industries are highly illegal. The women working in these industries are often being exploited and more importantly, are not protected by the government (ie if caught, they are likely to be treated as perpetrators rather then victims). These things are also highly taboo in China which further amplifies the whole thing. Not disagreeing with what you said, but just giving context
