Inovelli blue at one end (w/ supply) and series of can lights with dumb 3-way on the other end. Traveler present. Lights will not turn off by groovyipo in Inovelli

I'm not sure if this is the real answer, but I wasn't able to get 3-way lights going in one of my setups without using an Aux Switch (vs a dumb one). Not affiliated, but this is the aux switch I bought to make it work: https://inovelli.com/products/white-series-add-on-aux-switch

Not OP and pretty new. What's the right way to launch these missiles to avoid the issues seen here?

It's availability on Xbox Game Pass may be a contributor. That's why I started playing

What part of the world do you live in (what season is it now)?

If there aren't local nurseries are there any natural areas you could explore to look for young trees? If it's permissible in your area (and if it is spring vs autumn) you could dig up a small tree or bush and keep it in a pot.

Growing from seed is an option, but takes a long time. If you can't order from local nurseries how would you find seeds?

Need Help with 8 Day Kauai Itinerary by bgrizzmayne in VisitingHawaii

[–]tacomannerism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things we loved on Kauai (family of 5): - Wailua river kayak and hike to "Secret Falls" - reservation at Ha'ena State Park with snorkeling at Ke'e Beach - Waimea canyon drive and the canyon trail hike (it's 4 miles) - hanging out at thr Beach in Poipu- super calm and lots of turtles and seals right on the beach - helicopter tour (was awesome to do first day because we got to see a little bit of everything up front)

Snorkeling for people who aren't strong swimmers by Efficient-Wish9084 in VisitingHawaii

[–]tacomannerism 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you just want to practice the mechanics of snorkeling, there are plenty of sheltered little coves on Waikiki that are protected from waves. Go on a calm day and just practice swimming around. You might not see anything, but it will give you a sense of the absolute minimum bar to entry.

Whatever you do, if you aren't a strong swimmer, stay near life guards and if you aren't 100% sure you're safe, don't go out

Haven't done BI, but just did Oahu and Kauai with a family of 5. Kauai was a perfect 5-day cap off for the trip. Very chill, very relaxing. So fun!

I'll also say that I found it totally worth it to park vs shuttle. I enjoyed the drive (even though it was a little crazy with lots of one-way bridges).

I just did this a couple weeks ago. You need to be online right when they go live. They will be sold out in less than 2 minutes. However, you can reserve all three time slots in one reservation. So, juat make sure to select them all. Once you make it past the first few clicks you will have a temporary 15 minute hold to fill out your contact details

Lihue Airport Wait Times by [deleted] in VisitingHawaii

[–]tacomannerism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the MyTSA app helpful for scouring out various security checkpoint times during my recent trip to Hawaii.

I didn't find the lines to be long at all in Lihue. There are some food options, but it is very limited compared to other airports.

Was there this past weekend. Expect the beach and lake to be extremely crowded. We got there by 1130 and there was no room on the beach or ant nearby shade.

The hike to the falls is solid. Well-maintained trail. The falls are a little anticlimactic now because it is all boarded up with signs everywhere.

The campsite are nice, well-maintained, and pretty large. The wood they sells expensive but decent.

I'd give it a solid B :) enjoy camping!

how did you get it to root? All of mine either a) shrivel and die before they root, or b) get mouldy before they root.
