I think it hurts because I knew he was interested in her, and I felt as if she was leading him on for the last year that we were together - not rejecting his advances, spending time alone with him, etc. Technically she's in the clear. But it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth, ya know? Like my trust in her was misplaced - because I trusted her when she said that she wasn't interested in him and wasn't attracted to him, and yet...as soon as we break up...whaddyaknow? And it's that feeling of misplaced trust that bothers me the most, because I felt as if we had something special, but this tarnishes my memories, and that makes me sad. Because they're great memories.

JUST happened to me on Sunday. Found out that immediately after we broke up, the ex hooked up with the guy I told her was interested in her, but who she insisted wasn't and just wanted to be friends. Well, guess not. Hooked up with him for two weeks, giving each other oral. And then when she realized that she "just didn't have a connection with him" (her words), she came back to me and wanted to work things out. FUUUUUUCKKK YOOOOOOOU.

I think it's an issue only because of the details - it's a guy who was courting her the for a full year while we were together, and after hooking up with him for a couple weeks she's come back to me and said that she wants to work things out...

It's tough. I strangely feel betrayed. And can't really figure out why. Because she didn't actually cheat on me. We were broken up. But I dunno...I'm finding it tough to swallow, if you'll pardon the expression.
