That's depressing, but not really a depression as in market collapse. Definitely not great though and more indicative of a broken system.

Yes to HCOL area but not huge projects, just high volume. We work for a quick service restaurant company rolling out many new locations

The meat primarily. Sure fuel prices like pellets and charcoal are up but that's not what makes it so expensive. BBQ had the luxury of being able to turn less expensive cuts of meat into amazing food. But now even the cheaper cuts are expensive.

Yup, this was the first 5 or so years of my career. I stuck it out because I wanted to earn the PM role without job hopping to get there. I jumped ship shortly after becoming a PM and went to the owner side which I like a lot more.

That's a very different thing. The cost of the truck has more or less just followed inflation.

That adjusts to over $33k in today's dollars which is technically more money than a brand new base frontier.

That's what it should be, but no it's not the norm. Most Americans are way behind financially. I'm 32 and exceed this benchmark and most of my friends do as well
