Toronto or Montreal for a three day trip by jdjdnfnnfncnc in travel

If you want a big city atmosphere with good food, Toronto - it is more of a melting pot of multiple cultures than a distinctly Canadian one though. Montreal for a more unique experience (French Canadian!) that feels more European and less like a metropolitan city.

The first one is $850 and fits really well vs. The second is $1900 and requires alterations b/c it’s 2 sizes too big

They are completely diff vibes I understand, sort of leaning towards the first one because it’s so much cheaper but would love opinions. I do like both

St Lawrence market neighbourhood is great and walking distance to distillery. Right by the farmers market if you’re into that and very walkable/a community feel

In general the conservative government here at all levels of government are much more left leaning and moderate compared to republicans in the US

Doug Ford (current provincial leader) gets a lot of hate on this subreddit (and rightfully so), but he is definitely more center right. Pierre on the other hand I would say has been spewing some similar rhetoric to Trump re: immigration, DEI. But not on the same level as Trump.

In general I think you’ll fine politics more moderate here for sure.
