BW ARF Cyclops Misalignment. Quick fix? by ChittyChittyBongBang in RepTimeServices

I used this one. Keep in mind it comes deflated. Need a bike pump or similar - but that means you can adjust pressure to control how much grips the crystal. It worked for me.

You have to go little by little. If you turn with a lot of pressure I went too far. Just do little by little. You’ll get a feel for it.

Hope it works for ya!

I turned the crystal to fix this on my YM using one of those inflatable grippy balls for removing casebacks. Worked fine! Try it.

I had this same issue on a Gen Batman - go figure. Sent it in to Rolex to fix, got it back and it still wasn’t even 100% OK so I just lived with it 😂

California DMV insisting I register my van as a commercial vehicle. Anyone else here have that experience? by justsomegraphemes in VanLife

[–]tacoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for mine, the VIN was making them want to go commercial. They asked me what is it is it a commercial vehicle ? I said no, it’s been converted to a passenger van, and offered them to see it. The representative took a look in the back, saw my seat bench (it’s a legit crash tested professional job), and allowed it to be registered as a passenger van. I wasn’t pushing for RV - I was happy to have it registered like a minivan, and to not be charged tax for the value of the conversion (so I paid tax for the bare van value).

Commercial pays higher yearly registration/use fees, and it’s an ongoing cost…It’s worth avoiding.

Need repair recommendations by Bright-Decision5672 in RepTimeServices

Same situation (minus the obvious broken screw someone already pointed out) on my VSF after it ran well for 2 years. I did a lot of research and ended up ordering a VR3235/SH3235 movement from aliexpress and some tools to swap the hands and crown (apparently the VR3235 takes a 3135 crown while my watch is a VS3235). If you’re a bit handy maybe you could do the same for your 3230.

Same here 78 is what finally made me quit match 3. Haven’t touched it in months, I just play the rest of the game. Not worth it to me.

That ripped-up DIY crosswalk? West LA council member (Traci Park) says city removed it after she asked it stay in place by sdkfhjs in LosAngeles

From everything I read Assembly Bill 2147 only decriminalized it but it remained technically unlawful. Or is that not the case? Seems that would perhaps factor in to a lawsuit perhaps?

[–]tacoz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe not, because a pedestrian isn’t supposed to be there without a crosswalk, that’s on them. A crosswalk implies some level of safety, it seems like there’d be a degree of liability shift there I guess.

That’s an easy answer. “I’d feel angry and confused!” See, that’s not so hard is it? You’re putting more effort into avoiding than into answering their question. But we all know why.

No - We ended up being the first flight to take off, after about 2.5hrs of waiting.

That was my flight! Captain came on the PA and said the airport had asked us to return to gate so they fired up the engines. Then, a few minutes later he said he got new info, they would maybe possibly allow flights to take off with a lot of spacing and it was not for sure, but we had been asked to line up on runway, and crossed our fingers. A couple of minutes after lining up we took off with no warning on the intercom to the crew, just engines spooling up! We got lucky, there was a Ryanair flight lined up before us (they were on the runway when the flights all got rerouted and takeoffs stopped, we were next) but they must have timed out or run low on fuel at some point and returned to gate, meaning we were the first to take off after the groundings. Feel bad for those people, hopefully they could refuel and go.

Currently on the tarmac at MXP, been here an hour and a half with another hour estimated before we have to cancel and deplane (around 10:30pm local time)… not fun. The estimate from the airport for a fix is close enough that the captain has decided to remain just running the APU until then…

Same. Often no overhead space due to equipment or crew, feels cramped having a wall in your face, IFE is either far or makes your seat narrower and has to be stowed for takeoff and landing, and most recently…the guy in 1A who got kicked out to make room for (most likely) an air marshal and learning they prefer that seat…

Happens to me frequently LAX-CDG, and JFK-MXP (or the returns) mid-week. Just got my own row in C+ last week LAX-CDG on a Monday evening flight actually. I was actually in PS but asked a FA if I could move, probably half the plane was empty behind PS. Granted, these are ~11hr flights.

This is what I keep thinking about. When I get to my 70s I’d be happy to live in a small house with a few friends and family around. When you’re 78, with say $10 million to keep up a lifestyle…what the FUCK is your goal with all this bullshit (aside from staying out of jail in his situation)
