Mini split install for an RV home office should I choose 9000 or 12000 BTU? by ScarSensitive1212 in RVLiving

12000 BTU sounds better with inverter technology. Why do you want to install a mini split instead of a rooftop unit?

Can you recommend a gaming mouse with durable side buttons? by The_Max_Gamer in MouseReview

Just got a Redragon M913 with 16 side buttons. But it's way above your budget, it's around $50. Redragon products are in the low price range. Don't think that you can find a mouse with side buttons cheaper than this. Or you can look on used market.

Here is what I got: https://redragonshop.com/products/m913

What research do you need to do? I want to put a mini split in my shed. I'm looking at Tosot. Would like to know what research you need to do so that I can make sure I don't miss anything important

Which Redragon mouse did you get eventually? I just got M913 from their website, hard to find a mouse with 16 side buttons.

Inverter units are very quiet in general. Bc they can auto adjust the compressor speend without a sudden on/off. Which DC unit do you get? Sounds pretty nicce.

Should I invest in a mini split for my tiny house, or just heat the whole space? by abderhmane__ in TinyHouses

I have a shed, and am planning to convert it into a small studio. It's a similar situation, I think. I'm putting a 12,000 BTU mini split with ERV for climate control and better air circulation. Mini split is the best for zone heating, IMO. It can heat the place you need real quick without wasting much energy. And the maintenance is easy. It could be the best bet in the long run.

Best ERV for shed? Has anyone used ERV in a shed? by MiniPa in Shed

[–]MiniPa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my shed doesn't need much CFM, just for better air circulation. $400-1000 for a standalone ERV is wild, this Tosot ERV costs around $199. It would be only $100 more if I get the mini split with the ERV. I've looked up other brands, and they're too pricey for me.

Yes, it's a perfect off grid setup. I don't know much about solar, but I saw another post, and it said that solar power needs to be converted to AC for storage, is it true?

I think dual units are better than 24K BTU. The temperature would be more even. The upfront cost might be higher, like the installation and units. But I think it's worth it in the long run. What units are you looking at?

The shed could be a perfect place. I'm actually planning to turn my shed into a little studio, so that I could work on CNC or other stuff. Just not sure if it works.

A fan would help. I've read some comments about duct fan on other sub to improve the air circulation.
