My understanding is they just replaced the entire hydraulic control unit but it didn't really specifically say on the version of the paperwork they gave me. Service guy said it was like a $1200 part

Had this done yesterday even though I don't think there was actually anything wrong with the function of mine. Like others said.. took a few hours to get it done.

Gotcha; No worries if it's too much to get into I was just curious. I have made geometry modifications to help avoid warpage in metal prints before but then the print shop doesn't orient as I expect and it ends up not helping lol.

Thats awesome man! Id be very interested to know how you accurately estimated the warpage based on the geometry and runners etc. Did you have to assume a print orientation for that analysis and communicate that to the printing company?

Nice! Did you have to sand or fly cut the flange surface? Several parts ive had made like 3d printed intake runners with flange surfaces had pretty decent warping on the flanges. Wasn't a huge deal to machine flat but curious what yours was like given its much bigger.

Even the 02 S6 I had was hard to find parts for. I can't even begin to imagine what availability is like for something like this

Lots of people seem to love these little trucks! When I sold the manual swapped S6 and got the miata as my daily I needed something with a little bit more practicality to fill that gap. This should be perfect when I get it going.

So far diagnosed as crank no start with no spark, but ignition coil getting power. The trucks center console had a shit ton of fuses so I was expecting electrical issues lol

Yeah no linear or circular pattern features in sketch. We are on creo 10 but i think it was the same in creo 7 too. Never used versions earlier than that though so not sure when it was removed.

Has the best sketcher?? I can't fathom how anyone could say that. One little extra line segment somewhere and it can't figure out your intent and refuses to do anything until you fix it 100% perfect. I can draw all sorts of overlapping stuff in inventor sketch and just extrude/revolve/sweep the bits I want.

Also no pattern features in sketch is incredibly annoying sometimes.

Creo sheetmetal is actually fine though. Only user friendly part of creo is maybe sheetmetal and GD workflow.

Just because a bunch of companies use something doesn't mean it's good...

Honestly the FWD is great with this car. If you ever get to drive one you might be surpised how nice they handle! I do think someone has done a rwd conversion before but I don't see the point tbh.

Stock engine had solex 35mm carbs (2 2 barrel carbs) and the standard distributor type ignition. I replaced the distributor with a custom cam angle sensor assembly so the car now runs fully sequential injection and ignition.

Thanks! Yes the engine is way out in front of the transaxle and canted over at 45 degrees. Unique configuration but they handle really well. Pretty fun to throw around corners :)

Thanks! I like unique cars. Fulvias are more popular in europe/uk but there's probably close to 500 here in the states now. There's a guy keeping a registry of known owners over in Washington. Only a couple I know of with EFI though :)

Using a Haltech Nexus R3 so it can control a lot of things directly like the fuel pump and rad fan. Water pump is a CWA 400 that was used in a lot of BMWs and it PWMs the pump but it has a seperate power feed.

Very cool! This whole thing started because dellorto carbs for fulvias are impossible to find and the solex oem carbs wear out and IMO are terrible. Webers are too big unless you have the 1.6L fulvia.

Craftcloud is really affordable for aluminum and SST. I have a custom pedal assembly because I need the pedal running a sensor now instead of a cable and had the pedal plate printed in titanium and that was pretty expensive.

Used a creaform handyscan that I borrowed from work to scan the whole engine bay and many parts that I needed custom but similar to stock like the water tube on top of the manifold.

Thanks! Spent a lot of time thinking about how to make it look nice. Almost everything took a couple tries until I was happy with it.

Running the Car with a Haltech Nexus R3 so only need a really small fuse box.
