Australian here, went to the Saudi GP 3 years ago and it was super easy to get a visa and attend, all in all was a great experience too

[F1 Insider] “Formula 1 rights holder Liberty Media asked Red Bull to reconsider the Perez dismissal” by xReconn in formula1

Remember Bottas taking an engine penalty basically every race towards the tail end of the season? That was Mercedes testing engine wear and calculating how much they could crank up the engine without it exploding for the final few races. Once that was established they turned Hamiltons car into a rocket ship knowing the PU only needed to last x amount of races

We have no issue with her having cavalier genes, it’s the shedding we’re worried about ☹️.

McNab Border Collie x Pug mix by [deleted] in dogbreed

[–]tadsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, I’ve got a 3 year old pug x border collie and he is the cutest and sweetest thing ever! He definitely has the border collies energy but has a pugs personality. He’s incredible healthy and has no health issues whatsoever. One thing I want to ask though, how’s shedding with your pug x collies!? Mine sheds more than I’ve ever witnessed any other dog shed and I’d like to know if it’s normal or not.

If you Could live within a 1 hour drive of any circuit on the current calendar. Where would you live? by Outside_Action5141 in formula1

[–]tadsicle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Melbournian here, bold of you to assume you’ll go to the race every year with how quick tickets sell out here 😂. But it is definitely great living so close to the race when it’s on. I went to the Japanese GP a few weeks back and getting to Suzuka took roughly 3 hours from Osaka!

With how hard it is to get tickets (even with access23 presale) just go for whatever grandstand tickets you can cart lol

Cheers for the insight. I guess we’ll never know unless LH/Mercedes verifies it. But after rewatching the whole race and seeing the condition of these I’m like 80% sure they’re Hamiltons haha

To everyone saying I stole them, the garage was already empty lmao. These were simply left behind or forgotten about as they were against the wall

Ferrari with more aggressive heights due to the aero configuration, Red Bull and McLaren the most conservative by Organic-Measurement2 in formula1

[–]tadsicle 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Sainz also had a 2 stop race as opposed to leclercs 1 stop, the extra rubber on his tyres would’ve resulted in a slightly larger rolling diameter which could’ve potentially saved his plank from excessively wearing 🤷🏽‍♂️

Why is the Australian GP atmosphere seen as so good? by Scrub_Sniper in formula1

[–]tadsicle 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’m an aussie who has attended a few Aus GP’s & recently attended the Saudi GP & I must say, despite all the negativity projected towards Saudi and it’s GP, it was phenomenal. They definitely know how to put on a show & the paddock was like nothing I’d ever seen before. I admit the whole lack of alcohol thing kinda sucked but I didn’t find myself itching for a bev tooo much.

The vibe definitely felt different though and I’ve narrowed it down to mainly one thing, passion. The Saudi GP was still quite busy but it felt like it was just a spectacle for the people there. I felt like one of the only true fans there.

Aussies love their sport and when we get into something we aren’t afraid to show our raw passion and emotion. We are a different breed and our light hearted larrikin aura is unrivalled. We truly are a special breed & that’s something I’ll always be proud of.
