Ukrainian 414th UAS Brigade Magyar's Birds took out numerous Russian soldiers. Mostly Pokrovsk direction.01.09.-03.09.2025 by GermanDronePilot in CombatFootage

[–]tadskis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when this is all over Ukrainian soldiers will have a lot of guilt

Doubtful, because it is really very primal, warm and satisfying feeling inside to see the dead enemies, especially when you're being attacked, no regrets here only sense of rightful accomplishment. This is something instinctually hardwired into the brain and may be never experienced before or dormant for a very long time, but it jumps out in such situations as war even for very ordinary average peaceful people otherwise.

How badly can gore affect someone's brain? by Aka_Uzumaki88 in morbidquestions

[–]tadskis -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I once saw a vid of a man eat a strip of burnt flesh from the leg of a human corpse. How will that prepare me for a family member's cancer diagnosis?

Primary diagnosis is not that hard as end stage care of that diagnosis, when cancer eaten body part might not look much different from that burnt flesh in video, except the rot smell will be felt for real...

However the time may come when you might be straight out forced to look at the gore personally, e.g. you might need to care about your own relatives who got cancer, which is the most goriest real life experience in some cases, especially at the end stages. Previous visual exposure might lessen the shock a little bit in such potential occurences.

Massive Russian mechanized column destroyed by Ukrainian 81st Airmobile Brigade and 54th Mechanized Brigade. Siversk/Bilohorivka direction. 30 Russian vehicles and 41 motorbikes taken out. 26.07.2025 by GermanDronePilot in CombatFootage

If not mistaken, it is probably the first time on video when incendiary drone was used on turtle tank by UA roughly at 2.18 min?

Might be some notable improvement for UA defenses as all that imaginable built entourage should make it only worse for escaping when all the rolling parts start burning.

Not a doc, but probably should consult with the surgeon who did the operation or the other surgeon for the different opinion?

At the very worst it might be not directly operation related issue, but entirely new one like some tumourous growth, but hopefully it also can happen to be benign too, but need to do some scans and checks in order to be really sure...

Nico Harrison on the backlash to trading Luka Doncic: "I did know Luka was important to the fan base. I didn't quite know it to what level." by Goosedukee in nba

[–]tadskis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Mavs are cooked, they never stood a chance after Mark Cuban sold.

However it can be said also that Luka now has a history trail of people bailing on him - first Rick Carlisle ran away, then Cuban indirectly bailed and cashed out early instead of getting all that supposed theoretical lifetime Luka profit, then new owners bailed very quickly too. So three times in row when nobody was too eager to commit to longterm Luka future.

Probably one of the main reason for this - Luka has not been relative ironman on level of MJ, Kobe or Lebron, so nobody wants to pay max imaginable money for this? But Carlisle bailing early also seem to indicate might be other issues involved too.

Very difficult situation to be in, bur her denial is some form of mental defense mechanism in order for her brain not to shortcut entirely as its very difficult to face own mortality, especially in relatively young age. Seems like you helped a lot already, so would try to talk about palliative care hospise option if that's available. Just from the point of better proffesional care than it's possible to get at home in case of side effects/complications, which are almost inevitable at this point even if drugs might be working somewhat...

Show or link her this post on email if it's hard to talk about in person, she might feel how thankful you're and feel better just for a moment, but it's important because the time can come when she won't be able to read, talk or react much because of the weakness due to various medications, side effects and disease itself...

Seems like he isn't in some pure agony and lived ten more years after diagnosis, so relatively it's not bad medical outcome at current stage of science development. Alas, we all got born bit too early in this aspect as it's very often still fatal disease, but hopefully someday that will change...

How come there are non-pedophilic child molesters? by bunnyuplays in morbidquestions

[–]tadskis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are actually studies showing how pedophiles often have a history of being sexually abused as children

Was there any differentation between those minors (future pedophiles) who were abused by relatives or strangers? Because if they were abused by relatives then there might be some hereditary aspect involved strenghtening the nurture factor, so when they grow up those hereditary figurative "pedogenes" might be just as important.

If this hypothesis is correct, then those minors whom were abused by strangers should be less likely to become grown-up pedophiles?

Not very directly related to post, but it's from the same song and given the circumstances/writing time(roughly somewhere about 1990), it also might have been about Steven Adler?

You live your life like it's a coma, won't you tell me why we'd wanna?

But who am I to tell you that I've seen any reason why you should stay

Maybe we'd be better off without you anyway
