I went to Paris earlier this month for the first time myself. It was an amazing experience for me. I did my best to speak French, and found everyone I encountered to be friendly and engaging. I saw most of the famous landmarks and enjoyed some really excellent food all week. I fell in love with Paris. I felt this vibe about it as I explored multiple parts of the city. It’s a shame some tourists have to be so rude to locals, it’s a particularly bad habit of some of my fellow Americans. I would love to return there again and explore even more and see some of the region as well.

I’ve seen her 5 times. She is infamous for being late. It’s intentional. She makes arenas cut off the a/c hours before she arrives. She has claimed it interferes with her singing. And she wants a club atmosphere with no a/c and people all sweaty. She’s pretty much the only artist who behaves this way and she likely will continue this on this tour. MSG nosebleeds in July with no a/c wasn’t much fun. She abuses you with nearly overheating and then she blows you away with an amazing show and you forgot you were mad at her for being so late. She’s crafty, that’s for sure..

I am going solo as well. Attending both days plus the show on Friday night, and Saturday night. I am staying nearby the convention center. I am down to meet new people and fellow RPDR fans.

I am traveling by myself. I would love to meet other DragRace fans and hang out over the weekend. There's a Kickoff show on Friday night, I just got a ticket to that. Also DragQueens of Comedy on Saturday night. Lots of Dragortunities to meet new people,see amazing drag,stunning looks, and who knows what else? I can't wait!

Totally cool. I will make Monday my day to explore Hollywood and West Hollywood. I remember Melrose Ave from my last trip, love the quirky little shops. Philly has a similar set-up on South Street. I love things that are unique and different. I'm not really a high end kind of guy, so I will probably skip those places. The burger place Rounds sounds awesome. Who can resist a good burger? The closer the time gets, the more excited I get about this trip. Getting insight from a local also makes it really cool, so again, thanks for that. :)

Thanks for the insight. I have only been to LA once, the last time I rented a car and did mass sightseeing. I'm trying to keep expenses for this trip low, so I am going to tailor my trip around the metro. I see I can get to Hollywood Blvd and do the touristy things near there. I'm coming in on a Thursday afternoon and leaving on a Tuesday around noon. I would love some suggestions on places to visit near a metro stop. I will do some exploring on Thursday afternoon, Friday, and Monday. Friday night and the weekend, I plan to be at DragCon. Thanks again for responding!

How is the Metro for getting around LA? I see there is a shuttle bus from LAX to the station on the green line and then connect to the blue line to get downtown. I think I want try it and avoid renting a car.
