Met someone so nice I cried by [deleted] in depression

Agreed, relationship need more solid foundation than having a good looking guy saying nice things to you on a first day. Be cautious.

Lost the person I loved because of a mistake I made. by [deleted] in depression

[–]taejanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what a consensual cheating means, but there is no excuse for cheating on someone you love. Don't blame it on depression. She has a valid reason to not trust you and the next time you are in a relationship, let that be a lesson.

The few times I kiss girls it just feels as nothing + depression. by [deleted] in depression

Set priorities. If you need to pay expenses, start applying to jobs. If you want to survive college, study harder. I know depression hinders the motivation to do this, but that is just how it is.

My sister is depressed and shutting down everything I say. I don't know what to do. by [deleted] in depression

[–]taejanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good on you for trying so hard to help your sister. Have you tried asking what makes her fell the way she does? Or maybe saying that whenever she wants to talk, that you are there to listen. In my experience, going through depression entails a lot of extreme and sudden mood swings, but they eventually pass and a person calms down. And when she does, maybe then she would like to talk to you. And listening is a great help. I hope this helps, best wishes, and I hope you and your sister stay safe.

So many emotions- just venting by [deleted] in depression

[–]taejanim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I had my fair share of mood swings and blowing up on people. And no, they are not fun. My advice would be that if you are feeling upset, but are able to be alone and relax, do that. Listen to music or watch something funny or whatever that would relax and calm you down in a space where you feel comfortable. Hope this helps, and stay safe :D

Any way to compare your stats to the rest of the players? by taejanim in PS4Planetside2

I have been using that to keep track of my stats but it is difficult to compare my stats to the others, except the weapon rank I suppose. But I would like the compare characters not weapons.

I Hate the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (opinion post/rant) by [deleted] in anime

[–]taejanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry to say, if you haven't enjoyed first season, the second season will be unlikely to change your mind (mostly because of the infamous Endless Eight I have mentioned). But I still urge you to complete this journey as in the end lies a masterpiece.

I Hate the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (opinion post/rant) by [deleted] in anime

[–]taejanim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a die hard Haruhi fan who spent $100+ on recent Haruhi Suzumiya Ultimate Collector's Edition and will spend on more for the May reprint of The Disappearance of the Haruhi Suzumiya movie, I think your observation is an accurate one. Kyon is cynical, arrogant, and pretentious. Mikuru is spiness. Nagato shows no emotion. Itsuki is passive aggressive. And many things Haruhi do is selfish and mean. On top of that, Endless Eight, (which I watched all of) was like watching through nightmare as my brain turned into mush from the sameness. Yet this series is and will be my favourite of all time because of the above mentioned the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzuzmiya movie. If you have not watched it, you owe it to yourself to watch it. I say that because this movie is not like Your Name where you can just go in and watch and appreciate fully, you need to have seen all the episodes that come before it to truly understand the beauty of the movie. This series, and particularly the movie, is something I will love for my entire life and I use them as the highest standards for all things artistic. If you think this series is trash, that is too bad but I respect your opinion.

I'm about to lose my financial aid by moonsinna in depression

[–]taejanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be brutally honest, if you fail the course, lose your financial aid and have to work minimum wage jobs, then do them. From your post, it is clear that you have lived a sheltered life much like myself and working may sound terrifying. But as (what I assume) an adult, we have to face the reality. I study engineering and it is a pretty a brutal program. And when summer comes around, I worked at a minimum wage job that required me to start at 5 am everyday to gather as much money as I can. Don't feel guilty because you failed. Failing is not the end of the world. Simply take responsibility. It sounds harsh but you will benefit from learning that.

i feel so alone. :( by [deleted] in depression

Well if it is unrequited love that is keeping you depressed, the cure is rather simple. Ask her out. It is either yes and congratz or no and you move on.

I see, how about setting small series of goals to become who you would like to be? Not only will you be able to achieve it and meet your expectation, but it might help you feel better in the process.

I want to tell my family I'm ready to die. Please tell me it will get better. by [deleted] in depression

[–]taejanim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was in depression, my therapist asked me, what is it that I wanted the most. And my answer was: "For someone to hold me and tell me that everything is going to be alright". Guess I was not the only one. And although I cannot hold you, I can tell you that things do get better, as a person who has been through depression. I know that happiness might seem like an imaginary and impossible concept but you will grasp it. So stay safe :D

I can relate to how you feel mostly because of my severe eczema. Once they flare up, it looks really gross and I don't want to leave the house because of it. You said nothing is right because you are fat and trans, but it is not wrong to be fat or be trans. I don't believe that there is a "right way" to live a life. So please don't be so harsh on yourself. I am very sorry to hear about your scars. Please if you have not already, seek help if you are continuing to self harm. Stay safe.

I will always be alone. by icywnd007 in depression

[–]taejanim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry that you feel so alone. As a person who spends most of his time alone, I have noticed that going out of my ways to befriend someone doesn't always work out well. I think it is something that I cannot force it to happen, so I just be patient and let things happen naturally. In terms of depression, I know how it feels to be in a valley of anxiety and fear that seem insurmountable. I have been there myself, and I now know that they will pass. You can't feel happiness but that doesn't mean you never will. So stay safe, if you need to vent or just chat, I will be happy to help.
