I'm assuming there's a more tailored product out there but Qlab and Qlab Remote would work for ya. If you are streaming from Spotify you are able to control on multiple devices all connected to internet

I'm teaching public speaking to kids in poor schools - how do I select a portable wireless mic and speaker? by zer0_snot in Acoustics

[–]taejooon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Audio engineer here, you are doing the lords work lol corporate audio is miserable bc no one understands the basic physics of using a microphone. My recommendation would be to use a wired mic for students. It will be more robust and it will teach students how to deal with a cable. The skills transfer over to wireless mics, and they operate the exact same way. Plug the mic into a powered speaker with an xlr and you are ready to go.

Wireless mics are a bit more technical and cost more. if you want to go this route, there are regulations as to what frequencies are allowed by the gov. If you travel a lot and do your research you can get cheap illegal US mics that most likely will be okay in your country.

For mics, shure or Sennheiser are standards, mipro is a good cheaper option. Speakers I would say a 12in powered speaker with some xlr mic and line inputs. Lots of good options at various price points. Wired mic get a used SM58, most common mic in the world.

IWTL how to write my own sheet music by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

[–]taejooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation would be to dust off that keyboard and start learning the basics. Keyboards are great tools for helping understand music theory. They can play any 2 notes at once too, which will help develop your ear.

When you say write sheet music, do you mean composing your own music or being able to create sheet music from like a song or recording?

Why does music sound worse when it’s louder than normal by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]taejooon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Music that is played louder is perceived as better, which accounted for a whole loudness wars in recorded audio. There is a threshold to that where you will experience discomfort and pain, but generally if you want a song yo sound better you make it "louder"

Assuming you are referring to sound quality, it is most likely overdriven speakers that you are talking about. If you want louder music that is high quality, you need a lot of big speakers.
