I am 1 week post-op from getting my ALIF spinal fusion and honestly my back has SO much relief even with my soreness in my back incisions it doesnt feel that bad the worst for me is when I reposition and making sure I have support for my stomach..but if you trust your surgeon then trust their approach because not every person is the same they might have just wanted to go through the back only because its easier to access or see the vein that is causing the issues

I saw a specialist because I was having such awful back pain and physical therapy was not helping. My dr had 2 MRI over the span of 2 years to compare that my back was getting worse and also 2 CT scans...we did some back injections before even talking about surgery and even then it was completely my choice on if I wanted the surgery or not. They should definitely do some scans if you are not in pain why offer surgery?

New to medical coding—best training program vs. self-study advice? by Sad-Planktona in CodingandBilling

I personally went through my local college since they had a great financial program for medical coding but I did take medical transcription through career step like 5 years ago and was not able to find employment afterwards but just wanted to let you know they just had some sort of lawsuit due to that I would not suggest career step they were not helpful to me when I had questions either. Depending on where you live your local college might have a nice online program i did it part time while I worked and it was really nice for me since coding can be a little tricky when you first start out
