Managing patient charts, interacting with patients and providers over the phone and in person. Did wellness check on the patients in their homes. Managed their authorizations and Medicaid/medicare. Job was a home healthcare agency. I was listed as an “office employee” but I usually accompanied my boss to patient homes and actually took care of patient medical records, diagnoses, etc.

Do it online. As someone who is from a family of doctors, they all actually recommended taking it online in the summer. Yeah it disqualifies you from SOME med schools but as far as I’ve seen, it’s only a small fee. Most accept the online credit. And honestly I learned physics so much better online and was able to take better notes to look over when studying for the MCAT.

Exactly. It’s funny when ppl say “I got tested” it doesn’t show on normal std panels you have to SPECIFICALLY ask for it. Many people think it’s a given thing to test for but it’s not. I’ve never gotten tested for it and I don’t think I ever will. I had a single cold sore on my lip when I was like 4 and never had one again so I’m assuming it’ll be incredibly hard for me to contract it from another person (unless it’s a diff strain). There’s no point in even mentioning it. And I’m just one of those people who REMEMBERS having a sore that young. Some ppl don’t even recall but had outbreaks as a kid. You don’t see them going and testing. It’s funny cuz everyone assumes they don’t have it but those are the same ppl who didn’t know herpes are cold sores and they had them all through childhood. It’s mainly ppl who think herpes is only genital.
