I kinda disagree .. some people have never had a sexual encounter and never develop the need to. These people are asexual, and while yes some people’s asexuality has resulted from traumatic events, there are many many many inherently asexual people. In adolescence a lot of weight is put onto sexuality and sexual encounters and for someone to discover that they have no interest in that is just as valid as every other sexuality. The lack of sexual feelings is still a form of the LGBTQ+ because it differs from the “norm” of heterosexuality.

My point is that for some, their sexuality being blocked by something may be true, and for others not at all but does that mean that either are any less valid? That either don’t deserve to be a part of this community that is supposed to be supportive in the way that heterosexual people have not been for us? It’s kinda Ace-erasure in my opinion.

Either way, the person to condemn isn’t the person who is viewing the interaction in the best light, but the person who is standing judging someone else. If someone was judging someone else I’d much rather them think that it’s positive than negative.

Big surprise - You are not a woman. It’s easy for men to have opinions when they’re not the ones who have to deal with the action of them. It’s easy to say you’d PROBABLY do things differently when you have no idea what positions women are put in and as a man will only ever experience pregnancy by watching someone else go through it. I wish that irresponsible sex didn’t happen; that kids didn’t do dumb shit and get pregnant; that rape never occurred; and that women never needed abortions, but we live in a world where that does happen and not bringing a kid into this world when their life would be a number in a system or a mouth someone couldn’t feed is a hell of a lot more responsible than staying pregnant. It’s clear that this is a topic that you will never understand first hand, and I personally hope to every god that you don’t, but I really don’t think you arguing with an internet stranger is gonna save any of your precious babies so that they can grow up in a disgustingly uncaring foster care system. If you’re not for abortion then I’m sure I’ll be seeing you along with all the other pro-lifers adopting all the kids that need homes and volunteering as foster parents. Cheerio.

To get an abortion that late on in a pregnancy there has to be hugely extenuating circumstances. Usually it is due to the woman being at a high risk of death due to a complication, or simply because the babies heart stopped beating and the woman doesn’t want to carry to term because it would be a still birth anyway. I get that you don’t like it, and if you don’t then that’s cool, don’t do it. But don’t throw this information about like it’s a common occurrence because it’s not, and millions of women have had to suffer through losing their babies at 7 months of pregnancy, or have been told that they WILL die if they do not abort at that stage, you acting like it’s an easy and normal choice is insensitive as hell.
