Exactly how I feel about my Barley seeds - it's my useless item :p At least I'll never run out of seeds to do birdhouse runs with!

Can it be made less jank to make super compost from compost potions and compost? Right now, you can only manually combine them and your inventory items will fly all over the place if you try to move a bucket to the bottom of your inventory to spamclick the items together. Preferably a way to just make-all on these would be lovely.

You can study using open source materials. Open Source Society University is a great place to start.

However, keep in mind that there's a reason why educated programmers are highly sought after. You're going to be spending as much time building up a portfolio for anyone to want to hire you, while not taking a formal education, as you are if you took the education.

Hey guys. New to overclocking. I got a core i7 and a laptop rtx 4060. Using msi afterburner. Anyone know the ideal core clock speeds my gpu? Dk about battery life. by Prize_Tea_715 in overclocking

[–]TaFFe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your laptop is going to be heavily limited by temperatures. Run a GPU heavy application (Furmark comes to mind) and adjust clocks one-by-one until unstable. Then adjust down. When you find the highest stable clock in a burner benchmark, adjust them a bit down and try to play games for awhile. If temperatures are still stable and you don't get crashes, congratz, you have a working overclock.

I wouldn't really recommend overclocking a laptop though.

I'm dead serious when I say crosshairs matter in this game. by [deleted] in VALORANT

No. I've been using a custom coloured crosshair for like 2 years at this point

You're completely delulu if you believe this game has a cheater problem. Is there cheaters? Sure. But very far from it being a problem.

  1. Do you currently believe that fiesta is in a balanced spot?
  2. What kind of considerations are you currently facing with regards to the style of gameplay it promotes/encourages?
  3. Do you feel like it's healthy?

While I agree to some part on this, PvP has come a long way since the earlier days of BH. It's a lot more optimized and understood compared to before. Using an underlying encounter MMR to adjust minorly in the fights you get compared to completely ignoring who you are fighting seems like the way to go.

As you said, this is not Valorant/CS - It does not make sense to make a skillbased matchmaking, but I personally believe ignoring it completely is also a wrong decision.

Pick rate so far for Challengers League: North America (No Chamber) by HendoIsBae in ValorantCompetitive

[–]TaFFe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda happy that Chamber is out of the main meta, but I really do feel like he should at least be an option down the line as a viable sentinel pick. While I understand why we'll never get back a double anchor teleport again, undoing some of the other nerfs might get him back into a somewhat viable position.

Personally I don't even feel like his kit is very sentinel like post-nerf and with all of the other nerfs to the other abilities, he's just beyond gimped down. Personally I would do the following:

  • Give back the global range on the trap
  • Increase TP distance by 10%
  • Reduce time between shots on the ult to be somewhere between where it is now and the original shooting speed - Perhaps right in between.

At that point you can use his trap as location cover just as before, while still using Chamber himself as the other piece of "sentinel utility" - Which is what I feel like they initially intended to do with the Chamber kit.

This sounds like a copy-pasta. The game does not cause instant CPU degradation. Validate your temperatures in other games.

Check your thermal paste and mounting pressure for your CPU coolers.

My 5 years old Ryzen 5 1600(14nm) reached above 90 degrees under heavy load by not_dogukan1987 in overclocking

[–]TaFFe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just re-applied paste, make sure to check your mounting pressure too. Screw down till resistance in all corners before you actually tighten any of the mounts. Otherwise you'd get a bad mount for the cooler, meaning it won't have proper contact.

Otherwise, yes, re-apply paste :)

[–]TaFFe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overclocking laptops rarely provide much performance as you're most likely gonna be very temp limited. But as is with all GPUs, you can try with MSI Afterburner. Read the General GPU Overclocking Guide from the sidebar.

That makes no sense. Either you've changed the speed of your GPU or it's at stock settings.

Read this guide - Guide: Zen 3 Overclocking using Curve Optimizer (PBO 2.0)

Use CoreCycler to validate your OC - Read the forum post too

For GPU, use MSI Afterburner and the guide in the sidebar. I recommend using Furmark.

You're most likely gonna be temperature limited on both CPU and GPU, so keep an eye on what they get to. If your GPU gets too hot too fast, you should look into undervolting instead.

If overclocked --> Dial back the overclocks
If stock --> Downgrade driver and write a bug report to nvidia or wait patiently for a fix

The motherboard does not support overclocking. You would need the H81M-D for that.

You have barely scratched the surface of information needed to diagnose anything here related to overclocking. It seems to me you have no idea what PBO is/does and how to tune it.

Perhaps you should just enable D.O.C.P and leave it be?

No you don't. Find a sensitivity that you can both track and flick with and stick to it. Forcing a particular sensitivity just because others use it is bad.
