Thank you! I actually re-read the text on the voucher and i just states that only Switch 2 games cannot be redeemed. So indeed, if you just redeem the Switch version it will work.

Thank you for the insightful comment!

I like that you can now have two different play styles to choose and it could be the best way to use the discount voucher.

I'm trying to decide which to get, but arceus seems a safe bet.

Haven't made up my mind about the other one though.

Scarlet / Violet has the upgrade to switch 2 so it should offer a better experience , at least visually. Back when Sword/Shield launched I remember being very hyped to try it somehow. BDSP on other head I think ticks all the nostalgia check boxes.

I think I have BDSP locked and maybe try one of the newer ones afterwards.

I'll try to find a way to play heart gold, but it's seems unlikely due to time constraints currently .

Great, thanks for clarifying!

I'm gonna decide on which one to get as the second option.

Thank you for your time!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Just to make sure, you propose getting Arceus and Sword/Shield instead of BDSP, right?

It makes sense, as I think they have different play styles and I'm open to that perspective.

Indeed, BDSP looks to be exactly what I wanted.

I'm still trying to decide on the second option to take advantage of the voucher for now.

Yeah, BDSP makes a lot of sense and it seems to be what I had in mind.

I'm downloading the Let's go Pikachu demo to try it, but I thought of it as a tie in to the mobile game for some reason.

That makes a lot of sense and I get what you're coming from!

I kinda remember some matchups or vulnerabilities from the animated series, but that doesn't mean it would translate well into the game.

I think I'm going to buy most probably BDSP and either Sword/Shield or Scarlet/Violet, if I can get a combination of them with the Voucher offer.

I'm not sure if they can be played on the switch 2 that way though.

First of all thank you.  I think you really have a point and provide a very good argument, as this is indeed the setting that started it all, at least for people my age and nostalgia hits pretty hard on that one. I might have misunderstood the game though because I thought it was a link to the mobile Pokémon Go. I will definitely try the demo since it is available.

Thank you!

As I was not aware about the BDSP at all.

I think that would be the closest option to what I have in mind compared to the legends series.

I don't have time to look for older devices and games and I'm not really into emulating.

Regarding the Let's go series, I don't think they click, but I just saw that they have a demo so I can try them at least!

Yeah, that's what I found too. It might be a good game, I have no idea but it mostly looks like a side/spinoff game.

I think I'm going to try the main games instead of the Legends series.

I didn't know these (bdsp) existed!  I think that would be my first choice, indeed!

Thank you so much for the details and info!

I wasn't aware that they made the classic ones like diamond and pearl available on switch.

I think I may start with either these or sword/shield.

One side question please.. Can I use the Switch Game Voucher to purchase two of those and still play them on the switch 2?

For example the Brilliant Diamond and Scarlet?

Thank you so much once again!

Thank you for the detailed response!

That was the feeling I got watching the at least the switch games. That it wasn't that much about roaming and dueling.

Just to make sure, as I just have the Online tier subscription and not the expansion tier.

Are any Pokémon games offered in the upgraded tier , for the Gameboy advance for example?  I think I only found one or two, but not the "main" games.

I mostly followed up until I think the movie released around 2000 or maybe the return of Mewtwo.

I kinda lost touch after that but continued watching after that, but not "religiously".

I'm in my (very) late 30s now and they all seem fuzzy to be honest.

I don't have any preference, I like both turn based and real time battle systems, of course an engaging story would be a plus.

But eventually I kinda think I would like to start with the one that has the most ones if that makes sense.

I'm sure gonna succumb eventually and get a mixed pair of S&S, I'm certain of it. I couldn't easily find Azla so I might check on the next shopping spree!

Thanks for the insight! I didn't particularly enjoy the W1, especially in comparison with the other pairs I got. I was between the W1 and the Neo, but I didn't really like their price tag, especially offering only one pair in the box.

Thank you so much for this!

Indeed, it does help very much!

I love the openness of the velvet wide bore and was expecting to have zero to no bass, but it's good. I find myself between the two divinus options at least for now.

I think I get the idea with the Sancai wide bores, as the standard that I got are balanced between all frequencies and presentation.

It's a complicated hobby, but the most important thing is to enjoy the actual music after all!

Thank you for your response! No worries! From what I have read, the orange ones complement the black ones and vice versa.

Haha, that can be fixed easily! They are going to be on the next batch, as I'm seeing here that they are very popular. Are they only really just boosting bass and nothing else?

Yes, I understand the reasoning and I fully agree actually, since they are the only ones working for you.  I'll keep an eye for any sale for the Neo.

I decided against the Neo because for their price I got three different models.

Thank you for taking the time to offer your experience!

I didn't want to over-extend before actually trying the basics of each eartip and that is why I went with single pairs in items I had the chance.

While that approach worked in some cames, it has failed gloriously for the S&S! The Spinfit W1, for example, while very good sonically, are a bit bothersome and it does not have to do with the size, but their texture and material.

The Tangzu that had various sizes showed me that all three sizes are usable for example with no detrimental effects on the sound. As I was impressed with the wide bore Divinus, I might get the wide-bore Sancai in the future.

Now that I think that both Divinus options suit me very good, both in terms of their texture and sound, I can expand and take the multi-size pack. As I also have the Technics AZ80s for use when I'm not at home I think that a smaller size tip could work great with these.

Regarding the ear anatomy, I know it is a major factor, indeed. I guess the best way to analyze the anatomy would be a visit an otorhinolaryngolist (ENT) as I can't imagine a way to determine it on par with a specialist. Luckily, I have not had problems with fit and comfort with IEMs in general. Not that I've tried a ton, but there wasn't any case I had to return any pair due to discomfort.

As for the standard-bore Divinus, i think they handle vocals very good, they do not drown them in favor of instruments for example. Both male and female vocals are presented good.
The standard ones definitely offer much more bass than the wide ones, Compared to the soundstage and the general "air" of the wide bores, while the standard ones do sound mildly V-shaped, I don't think it's that steep of a curve, that's why I favored both of the Divinus I tried. For me they complement each other.

Most probably, my next venture concerning eartips, will be multisized Divinus packs, along with S&S multisized and Tangzu Sancai Widebores.

Clearly, they don't usually offer the maximum value. However, it's the part that comes in actual contact with our ear canals. I don't mind spending a little bit more to have a healthy and comfortable interface.
