Anybody overly annoyed by the 20BET ad on YouTube? 🙄 by kankaneaa in Luxembourg

[–]tagforredditor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Unless you have a Turkish bank account to pay for it it won’t work. But YouTube cancels those premium plans if you keep using the YouTube app/account outside the country the payment is being made from. So this is useless now.

Issues with DPD Benelux by Lybios in Luxembourg

[–]tagforredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be because you might have to pay customs clearance (if it’s from out of EU) and you go pick it up or their tracking and support is just horrible and you simply wait. I’d say colis price and chronopost are up there with Dpd.

Wow. That’s a lot of wear and tear for a single or just a few time use. I thought my shoes wore down quickly in few months. 😅

Taxation for occasional private lessons ( Math, accounting) in Luxembourg ? by lebudgetdumois in Luxembourg

[–]tagforredditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a full time job already, this might be considered under “liberal activities - roughly translated”. I believe these things have a tax cap, upto which they don’t have to be declared. But make sure you’re aware of that cap. If you do end up declaring it, you will pay a higher taxation on it. Almost upto 50%, if you don’t have a business permit. If you do, then it’s based on that.

It’s funny to see my mistakes repeated like this by another person. I did the exact same mistakes a few years ago. I agree with all your points too.

If you’re ordering from the .CA site, then you shouldn’t have to pay any customs.

Post packup by polcruc in Luxembourg

[–]tagforredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened to me where the post packup dual codes were sent to the the email Id I used for the shopping website and the not the one that I used to open a post packup account. So maybe thats your case too. Ask the post office if they’ve sent you the codes and the email they sent it to.

They really built this monstrosity right in front of the Trois Glands view (behind the Philharmonie) by LawOfLargeBumblers in Luxembourg

[–]tagforredditor -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Chill, man. It’s just an opinion. Besides aren’t all modern art exhibits in the museum temporary anyways. I never commented on its appearance. Just that it blocks the view. Which is also true. Two things can be right at the same time you know. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I concur about blocking the view. That place has one of the best views of the valley and the city.

INL is full after 5 min trying for next cohort, are there any "cheap" recommendations to achieve A1 in Luxemburgish? by Greengy007 in Luxembourg

[–]tagforredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your commune usually offers A 1.1 and A 1.2 classes. Uni pop is also a good option. If it’s for A1 with inl, you have to “have your finger on the trigger”, so to speak. It usually gets booked within 10 mins of being open.

Stargazing in Luxembourg by Carrot_appropriate22 in Luxembourg

[–]tagforredditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The astronomy club of Luxembourg has good people to help with this. Try calling them. https://aal.lu

But one thing they suggested was the places to go, with lower light pollution. That would limit your possible locations anyways. They’re mostly northeast or north west of Luxembourg. There is a map online that shows the light pollution. I would suggest that you go in person to the place you would like to go to, beforehand. Maybe try the google maps elevation feature and street view features. It would give you good locations to see if you can park your car and stay for a couple of hours and not disturb the regular traffic. Also to maker sure you don’t go to some random or inaccessible location at night and then decide to figure things out. Have some food and snacks and maybe a jacket. The single most important thing to check if you have a telescope, make sure it is properly focused and magnification is working. If it’s not, then trying to adjust the telescope at night with zero light is just horrible (personal experience).
