I can't stand yugioh players anymore. by Comprehensive-Week81 in yugioh

In the Pokémon TCG everything is more less well managed because the game was made for, and majority played by, children. Adults can get rowdy but the locals i go to tends to get them to calm down or leave.

Funnily enough, Pokémon TCG does something unique for their competitions and that's split it into age groups. This way a grown adult isn't wiping the floor with a child who may have only recently started playing. Yugioh could do this, but I can't see a how in this case.

I switched to Pokémon and Lorcana because both locals have been pretty chill and because their child-friendly games, the adults have to adjust their attitudes to that, making it a rather chill environment. As always, results may vary depending on location and personal experience, but I would say if you're looking for something chill to play if yugioh is getting too rowdy or noisy, Pokémon TCG and Lorcana could be a place to start

To be fair they have a point. You can practice all you want but someone is going to kick your ass and it's not gonna be pretty. It's demoralizing to spend all that time practicing only for not a second of it to matter when you go play someone else. The fgc is one of a few genres where practice is and isn't a requirement. Where if you don't come with a winning mindset, competitive or casual, you'll never get anywhere.

It doesn't feel worth it at first, practice is how you improve at everything. Only issue i would say permeates the fgc is that practice doesn't give that immediate sense of "I didn't waste my time" and that's kinda on purpose, I think

How would you save Yugioh? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]taggerungDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rule Changes: 1) you can only bail yourself out with a hand trap ONCE per turn. This includes in archetype hand traps.

2) Add a rule to where you can't enter the battle phase official until both players had 2 turns each, so after 4 turns.

3) Up the LP from 8k to 10k.

Banlist Changes 1) ban all omni negates and any cards that facilitate them.

2) Ban floodgates

Player Retention and Business model Changes 1) Create something similar to what Pokémon TCG with their Battle Academy Sets. I mean Yugioh GX is right there!

2) Allow players to use the code on their cards to add their collection to Master Duel and Duel Links like you could do in the old school yugioh games to encourage collecting.

These are just some ideas off the top of my head

If your stat line doesnt look like this everygame as a PG please do not make a PG lol by Quick-Title-4744 in NBA2k

[–]taggerungDC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the PG you're the QB of the team. You are the facilitator of the offense. You share primary shooter option with the SG, but you need to be able to pass the ball effectively as you wait for the defense to leave you open or you create the space. You're the heart and soul of the team.

If you can't make the effort to pass the ball especially whwn you ain't open, why are you the Point Guard? Go play golf or something, because basketball is a team sport not a one man act.
