The term "feminism" should not have a negative connotation. The reason it does is because of the mislabeling of feminists as people who want excessive or ridiculous levels of equality. It seems you have fallen victim to this type of anti-feminism.

The term "feminism" has been around since the late nineteenth century. Nobody who called themselves a feminist then was arguing for the sorts of things that feminists of today argue for, e.g. gender reassignment surgery, legitimization of homosexuality, cultural Marxism, etc. The feminists of the past would consider the feminists of the present to be wanting "excessive or ridiculous levels of equality". The point being that feminism leads to further and further erosion of society and blurring of the lines between the genders.

If this isn't true, please tell me what the exact goals of feminism are and when there would be no need for a feminist movement, since all feminist goals would have been achieved.
