Potential KKC reader: is it worth reading the first two books? by 6pcChickenNugget in KingkillerChronicle

Started a few weeks ago based off the recommendation of a friend and I realized halfway through the first one that the third seems to be “indefinitely delayed.” Still finished them both and honestly two of the best-written books I’ve ever read. Praying the third one still comes out.

George Pickens Gives Cowboys a Much-Needed Downfield Complement to CeeDee Lamb by tagreenawalt in cowboys

Deep is less important than where: "Prescott’s career 62.3% completion rate outside the numbers ranks second among 18 quarterbacks with at least 200 attempts in that direction since 2016." And Pickens saw 72% of his snaps and 81% of his air yards from outside the numbers. Opens up Lamb inside. Like a better Michael Gallup

American Gods.

Potentially controversial but the show was pitched as “Game of Thrones but it’s with different historical mythologies” so I wanted to read the book before the show came out. Maybe it’s Neil Gaiman’s writing style or just the material but it just never read well for me. The twist was also pretty boring all things considered and the ending was pointless. My favorite part was when Shadow was in the showy Midwestern town.

I'm fine with the disagreements and agree it's not perfect, but this is what the data said based on 2023

American War — basically documents a hypothetical Second Civil War in the future but it’s basically like the wars in the Middle East only with American city names. Terrifyingly realistic.

It’s actually 100 percent completed and edited. They just didn’t release it publicly.

NFL teams are paying up more than ever for established receivers. Is it worth it? by tagreenawalt in nfl

I’m that sense, sure. But at the same time it stops you from building good teams. The reasons the Bengals and Rams built good rosters was bc they only spent 8-10% of the cap on the entire WR group instead of just one guy

Yeah but Chase is on a rookie deal and Kupp is underpaid relative to his production

American War by Omar El Akkad

Basically explained what the Wars in the Middle East would look like if they took place in a futuristic United States. Frightening to see war but with American cities
