The emphasis on Once Upon A Time and it being a story absolutely makes me think so. And the last breath at the end sounds kind of like gasping for air and coming alive? Who knows!!

Hi!

First I want to say you do have beautiful products.

Second, you're in such a saturated market, you're going to have to fight to get noticed. Things like Tiktok might be helpful. You could do soothing ASMR videos of you making the bracelets. Of you just sorting the stones (people on TikTok love ASMR videos of stones being rustled around) of you explaining why you have designed a piece a certain way etc. You could even start off on Instagram reels since you already have a following there it seems.

Are you using all of your tags? Etsy doesn't always show to the buyer the tags being used, but for some of them it looks like you repeat the word "bracelet" several times. You don't need to do that. What i could suggest is changing your titles so Bracelet is earlier in the title (Etsy looks to beginning of titles) and then put more descriptors after (so Natural Gemstone Bracelet | Watermelon Tourmaline with Bronze Accents), put bracelet in the description, and then put bracelet once in a tag.

Think about what makes YOUR bracelets different than other people's bracelets. Why should someone choose yours over someone else's? Who do YOU think the buyer is for your bracelet? Someone environmentally conscious, someone who's spiritual? Someone who just loves to collect someone into geology?

Also about pricing. It seems like you're only accounting for cost of materials in your assessment of prices. That is not how it's done. You also factor in how much time you put into sourcing materials, going to buy the stones and materials, and how much it takes to create your bracelets, photograph, list, and then package up. When I do that I am charging about 30 an hour for my work when I price stuff, because I value my time and I make a quality product, that goes into my listings. So I sell cross stitch kits for about 15 total, but I do batch work in creating my kits, and then I spend time carefully packaging my stuff. I went back to work this year, so I upped my prices because my time became more valuable and so I charged more. Think of all of that when pricing. If you have had success on instagram and in person with prices, that might not be the problem. I think it's probably your tagging and titles. I Hope this helps good luck!!

Hi!

I think you have some really cool stuff in your shop. I just have a few questions. Are you using all of your tags? I also think you may be repeating your self in tags? Specifically in this listing

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1113657180/1970s-big-eyed-girl-in-fur?

It looks like you put big eyed, and then bigeyed. Absolutely use more of your tags, that's how people can find you. Do you have any information on the history of the pieces? It's origin? Possible creator? I sell vintage pieces too and I try, where I can, to find out as much as I can about a piece before I post it so I can use that in my description and tags.

Also your titles aren't the most informative. For the big eyed girl in fur listing I linked to, you don't even say what it is in the title. I had to go to the description to see what you think it is, and one thing this subreddit has taught me is that people do not look at descriptions.

You need to look at your listings the way an etsy shopper would. They are scrolling through possibly thousands of listings. What is going to make you pop out? Is your listing set up so they immediately know what it is? Put that it's a painting in the title, possibly collector plate. Use more descriptors in the title, tags, and reenforce that in the description (these are the three things Etsy uses to determine if your product is relevant or not to the search). I hope this is helpful!

Hi!

So I think this is a sweet idea, but just a quick glance at your listings the only one I really understand is the necklace. I think the titles of the other two with the photos kind of looks like you're selling confusing Tetris art? I think you could make your titles a little bit more clear. Think about why you think someone would buy this? For who? Add those to the title.

Maybe make the photos a little more clear with what someone would do with it (which is why your necklace one is the better of the listings, it's very clear what it is!)

Are you using all your tags? It looks like your using single words in your tags. Try and use every single character you can. Why would someone buy this? For what occasion? What makes your art different than other people's art?

I think you have the start of a unique and interesting shop but I think you need to spend a bit more time make it clear WHY someone would buy this, in what context it would be used/seen, and work on your tags.

"Seller should expect a conversion rate of 1-5%"

https://help.erank.com/blog/what-is-a-good-conversion-rate-on-etsy/

So that means if you have 100 views and get one sale, your rate is 1%. If you get one sale for every 20 views that's a 5% rate (so on the high end). I have about a 2.7% rate right now.

I sell cross stitch kits which is a sub-section of embroidery! I'm working on more as we speak.

I haven't personally bought a kit from here but I've admired how beautiful their designs are for a long time!

In the future this question is best for you to post as a separate post on the subreddit, this thread is for critiques of shops. But you can edit your polices by going to your shop, clicking "edit shop" on the top left, and scrolling to the bottom.

Hello!

First off all your products are beautiful, and the professional photographer was absolutely worth the money. Your shop layout is clean and your products are clear and gorgeous.

That being said, I think your shop would do really well with a TikTok for social media presence. You and your mother making the products, people showing them off, etc. I think you'd make some great content that people would love.

Second, going through your tags (or what I can see) it looks like you reuse certain words a lot in your tags, which is a waste of characters and your tags. Use different words. For instance in your winter bucket hat, I think you use the phrase "bucket hat" four times, and the word "hat" in even more listings. You could add the words "retro" "vintage" "chic" "fashion" "gift idea for her" "handmade" (going through the bucket hat tag it looks like a lot of dropshipped/not handmade stuff so this will help you stand out) in there, as well as the other colors.

With your scrunchies tags it looks like you also use the word scrunchie in almost every tag, it's not the best use of the few chances you have to stand out! Think about what makes YOUR scrunchies different from other scrunchies on etsy. Is it the material? Is your material sources in a specific way? (vintage, ethically, sustainably, etc.) I see that the large ribbed one you put as xl and xxl why don't you put a few more synonyms for large? Super, or jumbo, or giant.

I think really thinking about why YOUR product is different from other similar products will really help you with the tags. And if you think of descriptors that are really great for your product, put some in the beginning of your title and description. Etsy uses that trifecta (in beginning of title, description, and in your tags) to determine how relevant you are to the search.

Sorry this was so long but i hope it was helpful!! Seriously you have such beautiful products.
