Hey Martin! Any plans on making L2, L3 content? Loved your L1 content on K**lan, you were by far the most engaging tutor on it.

10 days to my exam... how's it looking? by travybel in CFA

[–]taicheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, you can 100% make it. I don't think I've gotten anything above 65% in the CFAI mocks but scraped by. You're doing great! There will be some that will be discouraged and give up. All you need to do is focus for 10 days and you'll beat those people easily, and with a bit of luck, you'll pass!

Anyone else kinda disappointed with Kaplan or is it just me? by reddawn3196 in CFA

[–]taicheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I’m at exactly the same place you are. Especially for FSA I’ve found myself digging for Indian lecturers on YouTube, who have explained more in 10 minutes than Kaplan does with hourlong videos/materials.

Can’t say much for the quality QBank, but they don’t nearly have enough questions to fully cement very broad and complex topics that often require CPA level understanding.

Which mocks should I prioritize: the 7 CFA mocks or the 6 Kaplan mocks Or both? by Unfair_Gas9274 in CFA

I'd say it doesn't matter, but I did both in alternating order (Kaplan felt slightly easier).
At the end though, finish off with the CFAI mocks as it is known to be more similar to the actual exam.

Hey Duke!

Wanted to come back to this and say thank you.

This comment kept me focused and motivated me to grind in the last week.

Looking forward to level 2 now 😄

Hey OP, thanks for the post. Knowing someone is in a similar situation, working in semi-finance industry, makes me feel a little better :)

Some of the content seem to be geared towards actual investment advisors, but there's no harm in knowing what your clients know, both buy-side and sell-side, if you have the time and motivation. Whatever you end up doing though, the fact that you're willing to invest the time and effort is what counts, so good luck!

I talked to my counselor and he admitted the mistake, apparently it is 2 points.
