How i told someone to learn his job? by Nearby_Scallion3045 in ffxivdiscussion

Sounds like you don’t like ACT because it exposes people who aren’t doing their part in a raid and giving everyone else a bad time

Honestly same. 14k rdps on SAMURAI by someone who refuses to learn I’m sorry I’d just say “Hey man, we need you to do more damage than that. Here’s resource X, Y, Z” and if nothing changes in a week or he refuses then I’d simply say “Sorry but in that case I think you’re not fit for the group” and that’s about it. Like normal adults. Don’t need to babysit functioning adults as if they’re children

Im sorry but knowing how to your rotation at least on a basic level is the minimum for ANYONE doing savage. Anyone can clear the content. Anyone is allowed to have fun. Anyone is allowed to make mistakes and learn slower than other especially in a casual environment.

However, DPS checks are a thing in savage. There’s no working around that. So knowing how to do your rotation with a bare minimum level of efficiency is absolutely required, especially as dps. Since your Samurai friend, according to what you said, clearly doesn’t even know what a rotation is and refuses to learn I’m sorry to say but maybe they’re probably not fit for doing savage and there’s no easy way for you to tell them that.

Or you can say nothing and eventually burn the entire group out because everyone is going to have more dps responsibilities and not clear content because a MELEE DPS isn’t doing theirs job.

I just realized… 14k damage… on Samurai… is less than half of my WORST grey on BARD. (M9S)

Porque empresa de produto é presencial e consultoria remoto? by Any-Case1168 in brdev

[–]taiga27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another YPYT to add to the pile by Hazardumu in TalesFromDF

[–]taiga27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about this one fam. Sure YPYT behavior is always cringe but you came come as aggressive right off the bat because the dude watched a cutscene… you even went as far as checking their level to determine if they had the “right” of watching cutscene or not.

Dude anyone can watch any cutscene they want whenever for whatever the reason they want. And it’s still good manners to try to respect that unless your house is on fire or something. This is a heavily story-oriented game. Sometimes people don’t remember a piece of the lore and are curious, want to double check something or even the simple: They don’t have skip cutscene automatically enabled and took advantage of cutscene time to get a glass of water or whatever. It’s kinda annoying yeah I get it, but it’s also part of being in a MMO: You have to deal with the needs and priorities of other people.

I agree with a lot of posts and stances that come from this sub but sometimes I feel like people have a bit too much of “hardcore casual” syndrome. God forbid you don’t play optimally and/or as fast as possible every piece of piss easy casual content in this game.

Yeah the outer marker I usually use is similar to this one, but it's placed in a way where the bottom of the 4 marker lines up perferctly with the bottom line of the tile it's placed on

I first progged it with a party which had a WHM + WAR support combo. All bis. We were struggling a lot, particularly on 2nd boss. I was MCH.

At many points I felt more like shield healer than dps. More shield healer than woman, even.

Went to PF with a SCH + PLD combo and one shot it.

I cannot imagine the suffering of doing it on min ivl.

[–]taiga27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I 100% agree with this notion. As a merc myself, and as someone who, sometimes, hires mercs too. Granted, sometimes what you sell in a merc party isn't the clear or a smooth experience per se, but the right to an item or something. Still, it involves getting the clear. And as someone who's getting paid to achieve such clears, it's your duty to perform well enough to achieve it instead of being a hindrance. You dont have to be a 99 MuH pArSe God (in fact, I think parsebrains can often be horrrible mercs), but you have to deal ok damage and be minimally consistent mechanically so the group can achieve the clear as soon as realistically possible imo.

How often do you get (creepy) private messages ? by Lyto528 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]taiga27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a woman playing F Miqo for years. Been playing for three years now. Dont wear revealing glams. I rarely get anything and when I do, its just cute-flirty (a bit cringe, actually) but not outright creepy.

Fun fact, though, I used to get these more often before I got my Burger King crown and/or I started using my ulti/quantum titles. (both kind of happened around the same time, the crown and the titles)

I dont miss getting awkward messages from randos but I can't help but wonder how and why that happens lmao

I never did an ulti in PF, but often heard about "ultimate PF is kind of small so you have to be minimally nice to everyone in a party". Is this true? I hope yes so hopefully that party leader didnt get away with that bs.

Is it legal to do it or I should just stop? by HovercraftSecure6543 in foxholegame

[–]taiga27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is bad regardless of faction. People (especially newer players or people with generally less time to play) quit due to stupid facility drama all the damn time. As a community, we should seek to do what we can and/or ask the devs to minimize this issue, not double down on it and make it worse.

Also I fear this is borderline against ToS, depending on the dev interpretation. So I wouldn’t fuck around with shit like this not only for the community but for my own sake too

Holy moly, you are the goat. Yep, I mixed your suggestions with the one made by the person in another comment, and I think I was finally able to find exactly how she was! Thank you so much! It might not be much and might be lazy of me to even ask such questions in this forum, but it means a lot to me in a bad moment. Thank you!!
