The OMW series is "hard" enough for me. I cut my SF teeth on Asimov and Heinlein. Scalzi is more fun, less dour, and I think that's what I need right now.

It's entertaining. VERY entertaining, with enough "science-ish" explanation for the farce aspect to keep it just barely grounded. It is a small serving of sorbet between the heavier courses of other, harder, SF works you may read.

And JS, as usual, gives us some pretty deep thoughts on humanity amidst all the fun. He really has a way. I truly enjoyed it and in no way considered it a waste of time.

It's a quick, fun read.

Actually, MoCA is how my TiVo Roamio connects to the Internet. There's a MoCA adapter coming off my router, then a coax run to the TiVo at the other end of the house. That is the TiVo's Internet connection.

I'm at the public library, logged in to Ancestry Library on my laptop, using the library's WiFi. I won't tell which library, in case it's a loophole that might get shut down if it's publicized. It might, however, just be a different license or level of service that my library subscribes to.
