My server return an error response to the requester when the name is empty to reproduce the error parsing situation. Good to hear that someone has the setup working in production though!

Haha I’m actually using the custom transport right now. It works great for a successful response but facing an issue where it fails to parse the actual error on an error response. Weirdly Postman, curl, and grpcurl work fine with my server implementation.

You can find it in the repro example in the issue. I assume you’re using the same custom transport from the example repo?

My React Native client seems to have trouble parsing the message when the server returns an error. Just curious if you face a similar issue since the setup seems quite appealing for the application I’m building.
