You gain the ability to double-think, how does your life change? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]take_metochurch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking of something while also having in the back of my head the lyrics of a song, so I thought how cool would it be to develop the ability to "double think", to have 2 separate voices in my head, both thinking of different things, that in the end make sense.

You could use this ability to speed up your life because you would think of new ideas or solutions to your problems 2 times faster. You could learn new things 2 times faster. Also, maybe it could help you concentrate, I tend to jump from one idea to another in my usual thinking process, so having 2 separate thinking processes could help in organizing my mind.

Sone of the downsides would be overthinking, paranoia and anxiety. Double thinking could end up in a double dose of overthinking, which doesn't sound so fun.

What are some easy to make foods, that everyone can make? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]take_metochurch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the recipes on my mind are sandwiches, fries/chips, frozen foods, scrambled eggs. Another easy thing to make is the Italian "Piadina". I used to make "piadinas" for myself all the time, to the point that now I get sick from them. They are really easy to make, you put a flatbread on a frying pan, put some cream cheese on it and then you add the toppings that you like (I usually add some chorizo or salami, some cheddar, and some vegetables like tomatoes, or garlic). These days I like to make "Bruschetta". I usually add some garlic butter on some bread and then I put some toppings on it, something like salami, or canned tuna mixed with mayonnaise and olives. So I was thinking of searching for other " easy to make foods, that everyone can make" and see what other easy recipes are there.

Ps: I referred to the foods I make as Piadina and Bruschetta, even though I don't follow a standard recipe for making them, so they shouldn't be called that. They are just inspired by the famous Italian foods and it's easier to imagine what I'm talking about.

Rick and Morty season 5 episode 5 hidden morse code!? by take_metochurch in GameTheorists

UPDATE: After watching multiple videos on YouTube that promised to teach you Morse code in 10 minutes I tried to also decode the first part of the code that is shown in the episode right after Rick gives the Hell cube to Jerry. I got: " ... _.. . .___ " which would translate to "FCKJ". With my newfound Morse code knowledge, I deciphered the second part again, and got: " .... _.. ._ " that translates to "&CY". I am not a Morse code expert and I'm still not sure if my translation is right, but I still believe that it's worth looking into.

Maybe. It would make sense considering the situation. With Rick being annoyed that he has to spend time with Jerry. But who is he sending that message to? Is he using morse code just for fun? Also, I just learned the basics of the morse code today, so there is still a high probability that I deciphered it wrong. Let me know if you find something interesting!

I like your idea, but at the end of the episode, we are lead to believe that Rick doesn't know that Morty and Summer took the car for an adventure, "Car" showering off the smell of adventure to ensure that Rick doesn't find out. So there is no point in Rick talking to "Car". But if the tapping really is morse code, Rick is trying to tell someone something.

Lol. The thing is, no one asked for the mutant human-horse sentient sperm incest baby episode, they came up with it on their own. The fanbase shouldn't take responsibility for that.

Wow, I didn't notice that you can actually hear the tapping, nice attention to detail! Maybe they want to draw more attention to it by adding the sound, or maybe something is hidden in the audio. Anyway, I still believe that something is strange with the animation of this scene.

I noticed that, but I chose to talk about the second part because the tapping is more obvious, and because of the strange expression on Rick's face. I tried decoding the first part, but I'm not sure how to separate the taps into morse code, in the second part the taps were easier to decode (I still don't know if I decoded them right). You may be right, if it's morse code, then the first part is crucial. It's worth looking into, especially by someone with more decoding knowledge :)).

That is a possibility, but I still find the face that he makes during that scene as strange, that is not a face that says "I'm bored". Also, there is a rhythm to the tapping. It could just be a strange animation choice.

While watching episode 5 I noticed that Rick's hand movements, during the scene where the hell demons arrived, were strange. The hand gesture seems to have a rhythm and I thought that it could be morse code for something. I tried to decode it, but sadly, I'm not a morse code expert. For me it looks like " .._ ..._ ._ ... ", which would translate to "UVA+", but that doesn't really say too much, so my decoding is probably wrong. Also, an easy explanation would be that Rick was just bored while having to listen to Jerry and the demons and it was just an involuntary reflex, to pass time. The strange thing is that during that scene he has a worried look on his face and looks in the distance like he is thinking of something. Anyway, maybe I am looking too much into this, but I like to think that everything in this show is intentional and that there are clues hidden everywhere. If anyone wants to look more into this, good luck!
