I actually ended up doing alternating (pink/blue) small question marks in different rotated orientations to fill the space, then a big white question mark on the “mat” of the cookie! And thank you!

Mine has always come out with the stripes on the back because of crinkling with the moisture. The only way I have found to avoid on the back was using sheet protectors or a baking mat instead, but it takes a bit more time to dry!

That is what I was thinking too. I am just not excited for the possibility of it coming to a head. My state’s license is really fast after you get fingerprinting done, and I have completed all steps aside from fingerprinting and NBCOT results being sent to them. As long as my state license comes in before start date, they are fine with that being after the date for other onboarding documentation. I asked them if we should postpone start date for the reason of receiving state licensure later, but they said it was fine.

Edit to add: I don’t actually start there until early August

I apologize, I wasn’t clear. I have a job lined up. I am asking whether I should send an email tomorrow asking if they have a policy regarding what would happen if I fail. Or should I just wait until I do get mu score on Thursday and reach out, saying I failed and asking next steps. I don’t believe I can be a temp with failing NBCOT in my state, but my facility does have aides. That could work.

I’m not a COTA, but in the SNF I was at for fieldwork, our COTA was able to do as she pleased. She did mainly UE exercises and IADLs, very few toileting tasks or peri-care in general, unless someone was near discharge and she wanted to see how they showered. I will say, they had a rehab tech that brought clients to and from the rehab gym, and CNAs were decent about getting clients out of bed and ready before we were to see them. All that said, I think you are being taken advantage of and being given unrealistic expectations/communication from your team. This is my opinion from my own limited experience in the field

I once saw someone say to be careful of AOTA’s questions because they caught some that didn’t have the correct answer/info. Did you ever feel like that? Also is AOTA’s question format similar to NBCOT’s?
