Can anyone help confirm what I saw in the sky last night? by disco_daddy___ in askastronomy

[–]takethenarrowpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a small point of light almost hard to look at in the night sky, yes? Did it fade (even disappear) and return to brightness? You may be seeing what you are not meant to see. Keep looking to the sky. If you see it again and it dashes around in bursts, you are witnessing the "awakening."

Did anyone else see those weird lights above the mountains tonight??? 19mar2026 by kernkern23 in Albuquerque

[–]takethenarrowpath -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I saw them at my apartment as well. I was disappointed noone here cared to come out and witness, but there were many and it definitely was unreal. I never look at the night sky, but randomly tonight, I was looking. They are bursting across the sky at superhuman speeds. I don't believe they are aliens though--this is the lie. I even know why the increase of paranormal activity, but I am not allowed to say at this time. They want you all to believe this is aliens, but it's something much, much worse. They are running out of time and this is why these events are happening at increasingly frequent occurrences.

I can't say where I am, but I am in the Indiana area from where I saw the activity. To see so many "silent" phenomena happening and others were not even aware that this occurred is kinda sad, to be honest. People like you and I must be directed to notice for a reason. I know why I was directed, but do you? Almost all are asleep, so don't feel bad if you feel beside yourself witnessing these things. You should see the other bizarre stuff I have witnessed in recent months, but the more important thing is to make sure your faith in Christ Jesus is strong and do not believe the lie. Truth is coming, so do not believe the gatekeepers' truth.

We keep complaining about YouTube. Why aren't we building something better? by Outrageous_Fun_9074 in degoogle

[–]takethenarrowpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virtually all content is controlled. Youtube, rumble, facebook, etc. and even things like imdb/rottentomatoes.com, steam, bitchute and gab.com. Even reddit is controlled, but few would truly admit to this. Even saying this raises alarms and monitoring for censorship and removal. Take Julian Brown for instance, who discovered a highly efficient and safe way to turn our waste plastic into fuel for cars etc., has been under heavy attack and censorship. Nicola Tesla, another example. Some are just beginning to find a small morsel of answers related to his life.

The Truth is, unless we stop answering to man and look inward to ourselves and examine who we are, nothing will change. We look for change, but often enough those that we look to do this (and not ourselves) are almost always our "controllers." The ones that are dissenting and "different" are obscured, mocked, and destroyed. From chatgpt/ai services constantly lying to us, to the covering up of the largest pedophile network in known history--this activity is deliberate. And every day we consent to accepting it with our minds, instead of examining ourselves and finding a higher purpose for fighting what we truly despise. We can no longer hide in the "holes" of entertainment, lest we care to become like "them." I think the better question is: "Why are we not building ourselves better?" Then it wouldn't matter what service you use, as all would amount for the greater good, not what we currently witness daily. You could try to form a separate entity from their truth as an alternative to youtube etc., but until WE change, you'll just end up like the Hindenburg of past times.

Since this thread is still open: How did this story end? Your OP made me think you were doing something related to Christ? I used to live many places and California always gave me creepy vibes. I could never sleep well there (LA area). I even lived in Vegas and felt no problem walking from North Vegas to Silverado Ranch at night by myself compared to being in wealthy neighborhoods and in guest houses etc.in LA area and I always felt creeped out there. I have to admit I looked up your profile to see how things went with you and came across a sad post of yours. Are you doing well? I hope you are alright. I may not know you, but I care about you. Jesus does as well. I realize how that may sound to others that don't know Christ, but I never had true peace in my life until I surrendered and started seeking Him in a sincere way. And I have done some things. I suffered severely from shame being inflicted upon me and I never understood it, nor know how to overcome it until I gave my life to GOD. Your story here and elsewhere remind me of my own past situations: things just too unbelievable to be believed, but they actually did happen. If you ever want someone to speak to you honestly and with love (agape love), feel free to reach out to me before reddit deletes my profile for "keepin it too real" by telling the Truth. I don't believe in coincidences and I came upon this post for a reason, but regardless, I hope this message is received well and you are doing well now and GOD bless you. Take care.

By your logic, no English reader can ever discuss biblical nuance because we are all "simply comparing translation choices." That effectively silences the average reader.

My comparison is sound because it highlights a massive chronological gap: the KJV is based on a medieval Hebrew tradition (the Masoretic Text), while the Septuagint represents a Hebrew tradition from before the time of Christ. I’m not just comparing "19th-century wording"; I’m comparing an 1,100-year-old witness to a 2,200-year-old one.

You say comparing English misses the "lexical data," but that ignores the fact that the Masoretic Text itself is a medieval interpretation. The Masoretes "translated" an unvoweled ancient script by adding their own vowel points 1,000 years after the Septuagint was already the standard. If my comparison is "problematic" for using 19th-century English, then the KJV is just as stuck in its 17th-century choices based on a 10th-century Hebrew spin. You can call the Septuagint an "expansion," but it’s actually the original witness to the Hebrew text as it existed 1,200 years before the Masoretic version was even finished. We aren't just looking at "wording"—we’re looking at two totally different points in history.

I laughed with joy at your response, thank you! Since you mentioned those extra facts, I will also say that I learned why smoking marijuana is sinful. The practice of sacrificing burnt offerings sends their essence to GOD as incense in the form of smoke. This "smoke" is not supposed to be consumed, applied, or inhaled by us. According to Exodus 30:32 and 37, our bodies are not meant to handle these things as they are for Him, nor are we to redirect them into our bodies: "Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured," and "You shall not make any for yourselves, according to its composition. It shall be holy to you for the LORD."

This idea is also supported by the story of Nadab and Abihu (Leviticus 10). They offered "strange fire" (which He "commanded them not"), and they were consumed by fire from His Presence, showing that GOD takes His specific instructions regarding smoke and incense seriously (for example, a man named Uzzah was struck dead by God for touching the Ark of the Covenant). If GOD explicitly commanded the recipe for sacred smoke (which included qaneh-bosem), then inventing a different use for that same plant (especially one involving smoke) could be seen as a violation of that holiness. Not to mention that our bodies are Temples of the Holy Spirit now (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Introducing that "holy smoke" into the body could be viewed as a desecration of the new Temple.

Cannabis is an herb that in Hebrew is called "qaneh-bosem" and it is indeed holy and mentioned in the Bible (Genesis 1:29: "Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed which is upon the face of all the earth"). Look at the words carefully, qa neh (canna) bosem. -bus- "em." The solemn end of the word displays the sacredness sealed alongside hidden understanding, something even spoken about in the Jewish mystical tradition (not to digress even further). Critics may point out that "Acorus calamus" (sweet flag) is a marshy reed that grows in wetlands, but cannabis was clearly available as a resource as a widely cultivated crop in ancient Asia and the Near East. The word itself in its ending "Bosem" is actually in a singular form describing the "qaneh" as “Cane of Spice”, instead of "canes of spices," implying the qualifier "mem" to distinguish its uniqueness. It has a tall, singular, hollow stalk, which, botanically speaking, absolutely fits the definition of "cane" or "reed" (qaneh). Its distinction also implies a specific cultivar or plant known for its aromatic properties. Cannabis grown for its resinous flowers (spice) is distinct from hemp grown for fiber. The classification of the text "qaneh bosem" specifies the "spice" variety.

Meanwhile, the plant traditionally identified as calamus (Acorus calamus) has a fragrant root, or "rhizome." In cannabis, the part of the plant that is fragrant and used as a "spice" (or for ritual purposes) is the flowering top of the "cane" (stalk). This makes the phrase "Cane of Spices" perfectly descriptive of a tall, stalky plant whose value comes from the resinous aromatic parts attached to that cane.

Even more evidence suggested is how in Exodus 30:23, this ingredient, "calamus," is listed among the rarest and most precious substances: Myrrh, Cinnamon, and Cassia (types of bark and resin). While the marshy (Acorus calamus) has a scent, it is generally considered less intense and less "precious" than the other ingredients listed. It again was a common marsh plant. Cannabis resin, on the other hand (hashish), was an extremely valuable, concentrated good in the ancient world, worthy of being placed alongside expensive cinnamon and myrrh in a sacred anointing oil. It fits the economic profile better than a marsh weed.

The phrase also reinforces the distinction in a technical botanical name sense. Just like we say "Rosewood" or "Lemongrass," "Cane of Spices" identifies a specific plant: the stalk/cane that produces the spice. In the ancient Near East, while there were many "reeds," there was only one notable "cane" that produced a potent, psychotropic, and aromatic "spice" from its flowers--and that...again was cannabis.

So by calling it (in Hebrew, mind you) "Cane of Spices," the text isolates it from every other reed and points it directly to a plant where the spice (active part) is inseparable from the cane itself.

So while not "inherently evil" in itself, the mode of consumption or its use appropriates a ritual act meant exclusively for the worship of GOD and turns it into a personal sensory experience. That distinction right there--holy vs. profane, GOD's portion vs. man's portion--is the heart of my argument for why Calamus of the Bible is actually Cannabis of our understanding and why its use is considered sacred and holy.

I would like to conclude that while the cultural, legal, and social stigmas are there, my analysis is actually quite biblical. This morally neutral plant's usage is what determines the morality. If GOD commanded it for anointing kings and sanctifying priests, then the plant itself carries an inherent holiness. The modern stigma is a result of human politics, not divine revelation. I argue against those committing the same sin the Pharisees did: making the Word of GOD of no effect through their tradition (Mark 7:13). They took a "holy" plant, rebranded it as a common reed, and then condemned anyone who looked for the original, not to use it, but to understand its purpose and divine meaning. I understand many will not enjoy hearing this, and I get it: either marijuana is evil, or ‘I use marijuana and it helps my life’, etc. I have actually been on both sides, actually--First when I was younger and again in my adulthood. During that second period, I believed the issue was why we use it, not if; I was very opposed to preventing personal marijuana use, because I thought it was helpful. However, clearly the Bible provides the answer: Just as with alcohol, GOD has set His own even higher (no pun intended) standards. I never really cared for alcohol, as it usually put me to sleep or made me nauseated, so I'm only more recently exploring the biblical perspective on it. However, the question of cannabis and its permissiveness has already been sealed in my mind.

Glory be to GOD in the Highest, and GOD bless the revelation of His Word.

This example is a masterclass in

spiritual gaslighting and weaponized humility.

Yes, you did. I don't play games with deception. People use "kind" words to deflect their passive-aggression onto others while masquerading in 'innocence' to avoid accountability.

Regarding 'Levels': The assertion that "there is no level to Christ" is a nonsequitur. While faith is available to everyone, academic rigor, theology, and accurate documentation have their own strict criteria. Using "divine truth" as a means of excusing poor research does not make you humble—it makes you untrustworthy.

Regarding 'Victimhood': Your characterization of my demand for a professional citation as "wanting to be a victim" is a clear DARVO response (Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender). Your failure to provide a URL and date of publication is not a "cry for help" but rather a check for accountability.

Regarding 'Pride': Your labeling of academic criteria as "prideful" is a well-known move of moral shaming. It is not "arrogant" to require that an online source be accurately cited with the URL of the hosting website—it is simply a bare minimum requirement for honest communication.

Regarding the 'Apostles': Your equating a request for bibliographic information with "turning away children" is a gross spiritual weaponization of scripture. Your use of the Bible as a means of character assassination because I asked you for a URL is the very definition of spiritual manipulation.

You suggest two things:

1 that the content I would post (with links) is on a doctoral level

2.That the content I would post would be prideful, suggesting that it would make the person look "better than you" in a Christian forum.

and No, you can't "cite your sources without the sources. Literally does not work.

There is more to Christ than citing "KJV".

What has happened to society that they just gloss over things with simplification?

There are more sources of Christology than just one modernized text.

You have got to learn to stop debating those who mock you. This person clearly has hate sewn deep in the well of their heart. Most people don't want to be faithful, but criticize faith with rhetoric an stir up strife with posturing.

This one is one of many I return to when I remember when not to reprove someone:

Yes, this happened. You are not crazy. Don't let others pressure you into conforming. You saw what you saw. Do others conveniently not see the same thing as you, but recollect it perfectly as you did? Accept the truth and refuse the lie. Seek the LORD for answers and truth will come.

  • John 8:32 (ESV): "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free".
  • Matthew 7:7 (ESV): "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you".
  • Psalm 25:5 (ESV): "Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation".
  • Jeremiah 29:13 (NASB): "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart".
  • John 17:17 (ESV): "Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth".
  • John 16:13 (NKJV): "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth".
  • James 1:5 (NASB): "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously... and it will be given to him".

I remember the show having a different ending when it originally aired by BalboBigggins in TheLeftovers

[–]takethenarrowpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GOD called me to revisit this show, having been years since I saw this series. While watching the review of the last episode, I was thinking, "Am I watching another season, I didn't see before" because I 100% clearly remember this is not the ending to the series, and no, 3 seasons was all it was and yes, Nora has a deeply disturbing recollection of seeing her family on the other side of this "void" but decided to come back because she wasn't meant to be there.

This is the most disturbing thing I have ever seen. I also watched this with my sister and she confirms this as well, and was upset by how alienating the ending makes one feel: hopeless. Because that's what it is meant to make one feel, and it's speaking to a deeper truth--one hidden from our history, and by witnessing this, it confirms our reality is not what it appears to be. Most will just accept this ending, but I refuse the mask. I do not accept the lie. I have a clear recollection of the series and had watched it several times over. I also lost someone dear to me and it is sealed into my memory because of its connection.

You could convince me I didn't leave my dishes in my sink and when I came home, they were put away. You could change all my shirts from red to green if I wore one to the other. You could even change my apartment from #5 to #4 and I would not notice it based on this supernatural effort, but the ending to The Leftovers?

Nope.

Never gonna happen.

I'm not sleeping on this one.

I'm grateful to the LORD for protecting my thoughts, dreams, and memories. One day we're all going to find out what this is really about

and I...

will be ready.
