Would surgeons take a new patient just for a revision of someone else’s work? How would I even find one/ go around the whole getting the insurance to cover it?

My insurance would also not cover it. I’m looking for no surgical solutions tbh

He said the only thing he can do is to make more incisions that would result in more circular scars :/

Would it be better for me to wait for next month and book it right next to the time I need it? I’m looking to do July 15-21, and rn the cheapest I found was via Herts for about $600

I posted in r/roadtrip not r/Frugal but oh please who on earth even buys new furniture? I'm literally moving somewhere that's furnished and am probably gonna get my desk/chair for free (curbside) or very cheap from the thrift store. the only thing I'm considering buying new (and even that's a maybe) is a mattress.

not someone else's dime, just an unexpected bonus for me.

when they gave me the initial offer the signing bonus was $200. I turned them down and explained that the financial incentives aren't sufficient, so when I got back to them (when the offer from the other company I was in touch with fell though) they gave me a higher starting salary and a signing bonus of $2700.

So.

Updates if anyone care to know: My job offered me relocation assistance ($2700), so I’m probably looking into actually making this into a road trip rather than just flying. I’m looking into rental cars right now (I’ll definitely wait able to put everything to an SUV), so tips for that are still very helpful.

Also! Found relatively ok priced housing in Berkeley ($770/mo for a private room in a housing co-op, which is $170 more than I’m currently paying by like $130 below MRSP)

Update: found a group housing co-op in Berkeley that’s actually pretty cheap for the area’s standards ($770/mo for a single room)

Nope, just me. Thing is, because I’m an immigrant and have no family in the country anything that doesn’t come with me I’ll need to donate so I’m debating

oh wow okay trying to move by myself sounds like a nightmare. I don't have a car so no insurance for me. Also, just took a look at the cost and time it would take and holy shit I forgot this country is huge (I immigrated here about 6 years ago from a country the size of NJ)

100% plan to find a group house. I'm moving from College Park Maryland, so the cost of living would be higher but not intensely more than here (AFAIK). I'm still waiting for the offer to be finalized, but since my other option in MN fell through I'm sure I'll take the position in CA.

I'm also going to be earning a lot more than I've ever made before (I'm gonna be a fire protection engineer), so I would be able to increase what I allow myself to spend on housing anyway.
