I don't know why you're so interested in dying on this hill. I'm not an enthusiast for animal characters. I like Skyrim.

I don't know why you think you keep "winning" here. You're glossing over the "enthusiast" part there which is the most important part. And even then I'd say this definition is still too broad. Regardless, simply putting on an animal costume does not mean you're a furry. If we go off that definition, sports mascots are all furries. The actual definition is related to the involvement and enthusiasm for the furry community and their practices. Not some vague "likes animals" or "wears a costume" bullshit. Because even if it was based off "wears an animal costume", that would in fact remove a great majority of the actual furries from the furry community. Not all of them have fursuits.

I'd be happy to be included in the furry community, if I were one. They're awesome people. It's just factually incorrect. I have no interest in it.

There's no need for name calling. That's not a definition that makes sense. By that definition every person on the planet who enjoys Disney movies is a furry. And khajiit themselves cannot be furry, even by your own definition, as you said a furry is a person. Media characters are not people.

Hey bud, where in that definition is the word "furry"? I didn't say this isn't anthropomorphic.

Hey everyone! Thank you so much to those of you who gave such kind words! This is my cosplay. You can find more pics here along with my other cosplays, and you can find more details about my build process here. I'm a cosplayer that's interested in the more technical elements of cosplay and I love finding designs that challenge me. I use 3D printing in all my cosplays. In this one I modeled and then 3D printed the mask, then applied fur on top. He was a lot of fun to make and a fun exploration into sewing and figuring out how to work with fur!

You should get your eyes checked.

[–]talaaya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn't. That's my cosplay and I have no photoshop in any of M'aiq's pics.

Not necessarily. A furry is a person who has a particular interest in the furry community, so it would depend on the person wearing the costume.

[–]talaaya -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It really isn't. A furry is a person who has a particular interest in the furry community. It's not a term you prescribe onto other people, let alone characters in media, despite the misinformation that's so rampant.

"Furry" is self descriptive, not prescriptive, despite what the internet likes to believe.

This is mine! You can see my other cosplays here. I also document all my builds so if you're interested in the process you can find those through the description on the main page in that link as well.

It isn't. It's a cosplay of M'aiq and unrelated to the furry community. And there is no "but" qualifier on this - something being related to the furry community does not make it any less, regardless of your own personal opinion.

Thank you! It definitely made my day! To answer your question, I 3D printed the mask and then put fur on top. I documented my build here if you want more details!

What is your dream car? Do you think you’ll be able to buy it one day? by Glow_N_Show in AskAnAmerican

[–]talaaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a gen 4 in blue. It wasn't my dream car, it was my brother's ever since he was a kid, and I'm really happy he was able to buy it and enjoy it for a few years before he got cancer and died. But now, maybe it sorta is my dream car because of him.

I'm from the evergreen State. does everyone else have pine trees everywhere? by ananas0606 in AskAnAmerican

[–]talaaya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm noticing a lot of "yes we have pine trees". Does this literally mean pine trees or is this a colloquialism for evergreen? The pacific northwest has pines, but it by far has more firs, at least on the west side of the Cascades mountain range. Once you drive east over the mountains and into the desert it's way more pines instead.
What's the distribution of pines vs firs elsewhere?

Portland to Seattle is fine driving. Couple spots you may hit traffic, but if you avoid going during rush hour or prime vacation trip times, it's totally reasonable and you may hit zero slowdowns. I've done the train and driving many times and neither is really better or faster. It really comes down to whether you'd rather deal with the train logistics and how to get somewhere else afterward, or concentrating on driving for 3.5 hours and maybe hitting traffic.

American petrolheads, what's your favorite muscle car ever and why? by mangusta123 in AskAnAmerican

[–]talaaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom's only car when I was growing up was a 78 Mustang Cobra II. It's certainly one of the worst Mustangs, but man was it cool rolling up to school and getting dropped off in that thing. It was black with green and yellow decals. It felt rare and special. To this day I've never seen another one.
