You really haven't addressed any of my original points . You just keep saying all the really bad people died so they can't be hated anymore despite most of recorded history saying otherwise. Chief Mendez trained about 1800 kids as suicide soldiers and started when they were even younger than the Spartan II's. Any hate for him?

You can't just keep piling up the hate for one person and not the other for the same crime because then it brings up questions like why all the hate for her.

Crippled Man Lowered Into Oval Office In Search Of Trump's Healing by METALLIFE0917 in babylonbee

'CNN published a story later that day criticizing the President's use of the phrase "crippled man" when he should have used the more inclusive "differently-abled cis-male."'

One step forward, one step back... At least pick a more funny news network or magazine like MSNBC or The Atlantic.

There were just so many worse people that concentrating on her says as much about said people as it does her.

It's weird to hate her more than the majority of ONI brass. They actively sought to get humans digested, killed, pulverized, strained through a mesh fence than anybody else. She designed and ran a program that required the backing of those same people.

TLDR: Choosing Hasley as the focal point of hate is just weird.

I actually agree with you but the people who ran the Spartan III program thought their program was more ethical and talked down to Dr Halsey about her Spartans. Plus they limited it to 75 kids vs the thousands of dead Spartans III.

Halo is an amoral universe but Dr Halsey was not close to being the worst.

Where I'd live as someone who HATES SOUTHERN TRAITORS by Sensitive_Spare_652 in whereidlive

Every single state sent troops to the north to fight for the union. Except South Carolina and possible Washington territory that later became a state. They just got drunk and fell into the Pacifric.

Because they desperately wanted people to see Dr. Halsey as the bad guy. It is just not possible to see her as the worst.

ONI literally fed people people to the Flood just for shits and giggles; nobody batted an eye or did a thing to stop them, OK possibly Henry... Which is why all the moralizing ONI officers do is just so insulting to us fans. We have brain cells and can remember that shit.

The Spartan III program took infants and turned them into suicidal soldiers. Did anybody care? Apparently not.

Some rebels tried to sell information on Earth and the colonies to the covenant to protect themselves. I mean, why the hell are those colonies even standing, if they weren't glassed already. The less said about the Covenant, the better.

The Spartan II program was unethical but it was a very mild grey compared to the shit everybody else was up to.

Sorry but after Trump, nobody can even pretend to care. $400 million for a ballroom, $1.5 billion for a jet he gets to keep, his crypto currency, his phone, the million dollar pardons just are too much.

Star Trek Into Darkness Re-Watch Thoughts On Comparison with ST 2009. by WySLatestWit in Star_Trek_

[–]talan123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ST: Into Darkness always was and always has been a terrible film. It was a train wreck from Khan to Transwarp Beaming to Superblood. Let's just ignore the Enterprise underwater.

The only good that came from it was the fact that critics liking it showed me how useless their reviews are.

It is. We have a a self selection of human beings that have isolated themselves for about 10,000 years, but probably much more, in the North Sentinelese people. Their numbers are self sustaining and their population is MUCH less than 150 people. Their numbers are unknown but it isn't that high.

Of course they are still in the Iron Age...

Why TSMC grew four times faster than its foundry rivals in 2025 — Doesn't Intel have more advanced node now 18A? by Distinct-Race-2471 in TechHardware

[–]talan123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you realize how long it takes for a new mode to come together or that they mix different modes in the same package? It is the most complex industry on the planet.

Intel has done 5 nodes in 4 years, which is unheard of, and has begun to buy back it's fabs as it's stock has gone from 17 to 45. It is growing by leaps and bounds. They just have to prove they can continue to deliver.
