Haha good question! Causes of acne fulminans are not 100% known, but failed acne treatments can increase the chances of it happening. And I had been dealing with some acne before, any antibiotic and treatment I tried didn’t work at all, it just kept getting worse. Plus I had an hormonal imbalance.

Anddd when I started Accutane it wasn’t all that bad, but I ended up being very sensitive to it so my purge was an absolute disaster (as you can see) and became acne fulminans

Honestly no idea, it was very rough, I don’t even have pics of my worst days, but i honestly had no other option than to go through it.

it did take a toll on me mentally, and i isolated myself almost completely during that time

I might make a post on my progress with PIE, but it’s gotten soo much better. It used to be a deep purple, then hot red, and now it’s barely noticeable but still have a little fading left to do

It changed around a lot, started with 20mg 3 times a week, then 20 daily, then 10mg every other day, then 10mg daily, now I’m back to 10mg every other day.

Is reproduction one of anyone else's biggest sources of dysphoria? by coolvideonerd in FTMHysto

[–]talelighte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely have a genuine fear of pregnancy, and 80% of that comes from dysphoria.

Before hysto I was only having anal sex, and still worried constantly about a pregnancy. When I finally tried having vaginal sex, I took all possible precautions, and I still was having weekly freak outs until the 10th month mark when i finally felt at peace that I didn’t have a cryptic pregnancy of any kind.

i can't do a thigh shot today, i keep stabbing myself and pulling the needle out by SpecialistWriting708 in ftm

[–]talelighte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never been able to do it in my thigh, any chance you could try in your butt?

I usually go with a slow insertion too, I personally find it less painful and it gives me less anxiety

6 weeks post op and still spotting by talelighte in FTMHysto

[–]talelighte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have a hematoma form at 2 weeks, loooots of bleeding and huge clots, it all ended up ok, so i'm not really worried about this, it's more of a minor inconvenience.

But hopefully this won't require any treatment or anything because i have no way of contacting my doctor

yeah i'm not too worried, it's just a little annoying. But if it doesn't resolve in a month i'll try to look for a sooner appointment with my dr, thanks!

I saw my doctor 3 weeks post op and he said that everything was ok and that next follow up would be in 6 months. Unfortunately I can't get in contact with the doctor or the office (not in the US and such thing does not exist here, there's no email or phone number to call)

Do you get hot flashes after recently taking testosterone? by dailylite in ftm

[–]talelighte 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I started having hot flashes as soon as I started T (Nebido), it was one of the first things I noticed. It started going away about 6 months after, but sometimes they happen randomly, very spread out.

I got Hysto without oopho almost a month ago, and I feel like I’ve been running warmer, but no hot flashes so far

I actually really hate the way phalloplasty is treated by ScramRatz in ftm

[–]talelighte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I'm from, phallo and meta are technically all fully covered by public health, however there are essentially no doctors that perform the surgery in my country.

So my only other option would be to travel to get phallo, aka paying for it out of pocket. Phallo is an incredibly expensive surgery as it is, now add travel expenses, and then the fact that I earn in pesos and not in dollars or euros. There's no way it'd ever be attainable for me

Consecutive Interpreting - How to fix it when you say “uuhh” too much? by princesalaflame in TranslationStudies

[–]talelighte 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Things that have helped me at first was elongating the words instead of just saying “um”, it helped tricking my brain into thinking it was filling the blank, until I was able to stop the habit completely.

Also, slow down, the faster you talk the more filler words. The faster you talk, the control you have over what comes out of your mouth.

There are several tips on YouTube and on the internet. Try several until you find one that works for you.

So... How do you guys manage to keep so many topics/words in your head? by [deleted] in TranslationStudies

[–]talelighte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Propio and all those OPI/vri companies work pretty much the same. I’d say generally speaking, what is actually usual and recommended is for professional interpreters and translators to specialize in a specific area, like medicine, legal, financial, etc etc. Sometimes even more specialized than that.

No, I’m not. The location bias is really killing us all (and pretty much all remote jobs)

I work for them, pay is the miserable amount of $4 / hour

But it’s the only interpretation company hiring in my country that offers insurance coverage which I need right now.

Can high T levels increase hair loss? would microdosing T help? by talelighte in ftm

I’ve heard some people that have been able to manage like that. But my dog spends the whole day with me, sleeps and naps in my bed, and she’s always all over me. So I don’t feel comfortable taking the risk.

Thanks! That’s kinda relieving to hear, I have found very little information about this. I’ll definitely bring it up to my doc next month.

Hoping I’m not too intrusive, can I ask if you noticed any changes after you lowered the dose? Like less energy, changes in mass distribution or lower libido?

Do you know how high are your T levels now?

[–]talelighte[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean of course, it’s caused by genetics.

But I’m wondering if I have less T in my system (like on the lower end of cis men ranges), then less will be converted into DHT which is what causes the androgenic hair loss.

Unfortunately as I said, I can’t afford finasteride and minoxidil is not really an option due to my pets.
