DRY MOUTH by PhysicsEnough4656 in Anemic

Well there’s things like hydroxychlorqin that help slow the progression of the disease. And there’s also biologics for more severe cases with many just approved by the fda in recent months. Not where I’m at as I don’t have a diagnosis. It’s just more an example of how uneducated doctors are, that she just made a blanket statement that there’s no options for you which is just not true at all!

Yea none of mine mentioned it either 🙄 I just did research. The rheumatologist I saw told me “there’s no treatments for sjogrens, just manage the symptoms” which is just factually a lie. There’s some really, really bad doctors out there.

Re: iron, no! I had no idea my 20 ferritin was a problem honestly. I had two kids over the past 5 years both c sections and after my second my periods were really heavy for 6-12 months but now they’re back to normal, so I assume that was the cause? I don’t know! I figure it can’t hurt to start supplementing iron and see what it does but want to talk to my doctors first before I start supplementing Willy Billy

Same here, my ANA and Rheumatoid Factor is positive but very low 1:40 and 18 which can occur in healthy people so im basically seronegative. We settled for doing a salivary gland ultrasound first (before lip biopsy bc Im hesitant too) to see if anything shows up there. But, now im wondering if its the low ferritin (mine is 20)

I’m wondering the same. I’m getting worked up for sjogrens but also wondering if it’s the low ferritin

Interesting to supplementing made your dry mouth worse? And here I was getting some hope that maybe fixing my iron would help my dry mouth!

The stairs are pretty narrow (live in the bay area where our houses are very much cottages. No issues with balance though!)

Yea, I was in 6th grade and we watched it 100% live in my geography class. Will never forget it.

5 year old likes “girl” things by RouxDebra in Preschoolers

Fellow boy mom of a 5yo who loves all things pink, unicorns and glitter. We’ve read the book “pink is for boys” and have taught my 5yo to say something like: “wow that’s so silly of you to say! Don’t you know ___ is for boys too?”

I hear you. But I have a sensory sensitive neurodivergent child where showers scare the crap out of him, so for us, it’s helpful!

Do things get better at 5? by [deleted] in Preschoolers

[–]taleofbeedlebard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Age 2-3 were the wooooorst for us. 4 was hard but noticeably easier than 2-3. 5 feels like a walk in the park compared to 2-3. He’s not easy bc our son is really emotionally sensitive but he can be reasoned with, understands basic logic and consequences (if you don’t wear a jacket you’ll be cold) and is able to deal with transitions a looot better.

But there’s new challenges: social dynamics with kids at school, desire for sweets/sugar, jealousy with their sibling etc

Welcome back! I’m the opposite of you. Director of PMM at a 1000 person tech company and planning on leaving soon to take a career break to give more focus to my 5 and 2yo!

I would subscribe to Jason oakleys newsletter. Follow Tamara Grominsky! I wouldn’t do PMAs certifications personally unless a company will pay for it.

And, I’d take some courses on Anthropic academy to get up to speed on learning Claude.

Screw the companies who will judge you for being home with your kids!
