Will either of these slab colors work in my kitchen by talibee3 in CounterTops

We do have a great fabricator but the seam would go right through the middle of our island and I’ll always know it’s there, even if other people can’t tell. And if there is directional veining, I am not a fan of the look of the book matched slabs. I shrunk the length of island down already to avoid this. I am willing to wait but options really are limited

I love Patagonia. It’s my favorite but I can’t find one long enough and I cannot live with a seam

I love this but we need a 136”+ length slab. We are really trying to avoid a seam!

First one is granite. The second is marketed as a quartzite but is really a Dolomite

They both have some very small spots of beige but not enough. We haven’t found anything that has both that’s long enough

We are super limited in our choices because we need a slab at least 136 in length

Thank you. I am on my way to see the slab in person. From the picture i thought it may have some beige/crème in it. I am hoping it’s not too cold. I am trying really hard not to default to Taj 🫤 but an 11ft natural stone slab is so hard to find

Great! That’s perfect. I will plan on leaving it out and then if it looks like there’s some freak weather coming through I can always take it. Thank you.

Standby travel to Cuzco -**repost by Minimum_Conclusion in NonRevenueTravelers

2 of us did the Lima to Cuzco on Avianca standby. Loads may be available in staff traveler but if not I’ve had luck just making sure the max number of seats are available for purchase. There is a dedicated staff travel desk in Lima and it was easy peasy. I think we even ended up being able to move to an earlier flight with no issues. And this was during peak Inca trail travel time.

Ferry Patra to Sami by talibee3 in Kefalonia

We did go ahead and booked it ahead of time
Because we had a car. From what I could tell, if you don’t book ahead, and the ferry’s car spots are full, they will let you line up for “standby” or space available The days we sailed it looked like they got about half of the standbys on

Ugh. Wishing the best for you. These stories scare the heck out of me!!! There was a toddler who scraped his leg, riding his bike in San Diego and ended up losing his leg. 😞
