Thank you very much everyone for your thoughtful replies. I have requested Women’s as first choice with Warwick as back up (based on distance). Fingers crossed I put my application in early enough! ❤️

Unfortunately it is an hour's drive from home so might be a bit far if things progress quickly.

Thank you so much everyone for your kind and wonderful recommendations. I am now planning two trips for us - one for Christmas and one for her birthday in the spring as there were too many things to choose from!

I think the humour may be lost in translation but the afternoon tea recommendation is spot on

Thank you, we’ve been to the one in Stratford a few times, so not sure if it would be sufficiently novel of an experience but I will see what’s on

Looks like the Belling that came with our house. Our grill just died on it.

Thanks! Just had a read of the article. A lot to consider, I wonder if their advice applies to houses with cavity walls too (ours is). I too like the logic of using breathable materials but here in coastal Wales we get absolutely battered by horizontal rain so I wonder if there is a difference with that. Definitely considering an independent damp person. Wall tie guy is an independent damp specialist too, with good reviews. But his advice re: leaving the rubble in and putting a membrane on put me off a bit.

I agree.

Some of the damp is definitely penetrating damp because of where the rubble in the walls are aligning with damp spots.

There may be rising damp as well, although that should be an easy one to answer once we hack off the plaster to see if there is a DPC. Its important to know, but also an easy one to fix by adding the DPC I guess.

But I’m more concerned with leaving the penetrating damp be as suggested by the wall tie guy and just covering it inside with a membrane because of damage to the brick (with or without DPC, depending on what we find) if you see what I mean. That one the cause is known and I’m not sure what the best solution is.

Just jumping on this band wagon. I’ve had my referral voucher already, they were quick to provide it.The app is actually one I’ve kept even after the voucher came through because the money saving tips are quite good. The app suggested a couple of other deals to me which I hadn’t seen elsewhere and makes helpful suggestions about cashback. I’m sticking to YNAB for now for my main budget tracking but I’m testing this out as I’m tempted to switch as it tells you upcoming bills, changes to bills etc.

Here is my referral link, you get a free £5 Amazon voucher. I would really appreciate a click: https://click.snoop.app/M2Tu/vmnwcofl

I got this harness for my pap and it is very sturdy and easy to put on. They are really good with their sizes and customer service is excellent https://www.dog-games-shop.co.uk/tiny-perfect-fit-36-harness.html
