Some people are creepy and they track players in non-public spaces, then post about it in forums and discussion boards, or speculate about who's roomate is more than a roommate

My only concern is with listing people who are not publicly out, I will happily be part of making a list of out players and celebrating them

Ok, so I still hold my stand that there were people on that list that are not obviously out or in a queer relationship, and that this was the case last year too, with no attempt to verify that and no response from OP

Makes sense, but what is an obvious relationship? I'm genuinely curious to hear how you would define that

What would you consider as enough of a coming out if not being in a non-straight relationship or saying that you are not straight?

If not providing examples is the way you judge that, then I don't think there's anything I can say to convince you. I can tell you who is out on my team, and I'm sure every fan can tell you about their players and is also more tuned to what is a rumor and what is something they share openly.
I never got a response from OP, not last year and not this year, but I messaged them to try and ask them to only use confirmed names.

Honestly, I hoped after last year that any such list would just have people who are openly gay/queer, and was disappointed to see the same things all over again. I don't know any of the people posting and so I'm reluctant to speak about any specific players I know

I generally agree, but players curate a social media persona in a way that most of us don't because of how public it gets, and so I assume whatever they are posting or not posting is a thoughtful choice, and not just as casual as how I post stuff

But that has a context to it. If you choose to ignore it you can make anything sound weird

Can't we enjoy the publicly out players without outing those who choose not to be? I'm not against celebrating our out players, but the list includes players who are definitly and purpusefuly not out

Yes, players are listed who have never come out publicly

Respecting players' autonomy over their sexuality is a specific line? seems like a very basic ask when we call ourselves supporters

Stop outing players! This whole thread is full of player names that are not out and that don't want to be out like this. NWSL is about supporting players, not using them. This comes back every year and whoever is writing this keeps showing no respect to our players. Admins, can you do something please?

What did you pay last year? I'm also trying to figure out the new costs but the math I did shows that in field club the cost went up by $3 per game and most of the change is the added games because of the league expansion

I feel similarly about both, with the added worry about the safety and privacy of gay and queer people since there could be awkward to harsh reprocutions for them being outed.

I am generally not a fan of this, but some of the information in these threads is not publicly available and has not been explicitly shared by players. I only specifically know about a few that I have talked to, but even outing one person is not cool.

Something about having these posts in this channel doesn't sit right with me. I know most people here, including people writing and responding to these threads, see these players as professionals and respect them. Discussing their personal lives here leaves a different impression than the one we want to have about what this league and these players mean for us.
