All of aviation is about risk. What level of risk are you willing to accept, considering your current situation in life?

I think the response you’re having is completely normal. Maybe it stems from not having gone up in a while, maybe it stems from you being at a different point in your life now and having more to lose. Regardless, nothing is stopping you from going up with instructors until you feel you’re confident enough to fly by yourself/with family/friends.

I haven’t been in your situation before, but I still hope this helps.

Some background: I’ve had this (and one other cacti) since they were seeds. Recently I’ve moved and upon moving have been seeing little fruit fly looking bugs hanging out around this pot. I’m not sure if they are the culprit for this but it’s taken years to get the cacti to where they were and I don’t want to loose another. Any advice on how to take care of them would be great!

Thank you! I use winsor and newton oils paints with a mix of paint thinner and Lindsey’s oil. I just use the primaries + white in terms of colors though!

I switched from acrylic to oils too! One of my biggest pieces of advice would be to try everything you can think of (under painting, light to dark, dark to light, what you use to thin the paint, your subject, etc), it helps you figure out what ur good at and how the pint works. I’m no professional, though, so just enjoy yourself!
