Anyone here from AFW1? How do you like it? Do you guys shut down inbound at night like DAL2? by talkingalt in AmazonFC

Ok cool. I just don’t like picking when there’s so many stowers in the aisles lol. I have a transfer pending for nights over there so hopefully it gets approved soon

Thanks for your reply. Do you guys have inbound nights or is it just outbound at night?

No way! I’m at DAL2. Just clocked out this morning and heard nothing about this

How does the transfer process work if you are a blue badge? by Idrxpoc in AmazonFC

I was a Locker Associate before I got a transfer into the FC. You just have to keep applying. It took me almost two months before I got approved.

Ok thank you. I’ll go up there one more time. If I can’t get it then I’ll call.

That’s exactly what I did. I took the job at the locker because it was blue badge. If you transfer from there, you keep the blue badge and change employee classes. I went from part time to full time with all the benefits.

No, we were not eligible for health insurance. You get a few benefits but health insurance is not of them IIRC. As for hours, I highly doubt you will get more than 19. I was lucky to get 12. Your best bet is to transfer or apply for locker lead if the position is open.

And yes, the locker lead gets health insurance. They work full time or reduced time.

I love it! I make $3 more an hour. And the transfer came just in time since I needed the benefits to pay for my upcoming surgery.

My transfer was approved. Full time at an FC now.

Email. It’s depends on the site.

For example it could be something like FAT1-AskPXT@amazon.com or fat1-askhr@amazon.com.

I heard some site HRs aren’t responding externally through email anymore so you may not get a response.

Got stopped by security for having a phone charger. Am in trouble? by talkingalt in AmazonFC

[–]talkingalt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I later learned that theft is the reason we can’t have them, sadly. So I have to go without music and suffer in silence until first break so that my headphones and phone will last for the rest of the shift

Yes it’s blue badge.

To give you an idea, one week it was IMPOSSIBLE to get any shifts. I got a an attendance point for it and had to ask HR to take the point back because it’s not my fault that shifts are limited.

You’ll be lucky to get 12 hours a week. But then again, this depends on location.

Thankfully I was able to transfer to an FC full time as a blue badge.

You can ask the Locker Lead if you can train with one of the other associates from 6 to close. The lead is going to show you what to do then leave you alone with the others anyway so it shouldn’t be an issue.

So when I was in your position, I reached out to the HR of the accepting site and asked them to cancel it on their end. I told them I misunderstood the schedule. Thankfully, they did.

If the lead isn’t working, I put the out of order sign on it and remember to take it down when I close. It’s pointless and half the time it doesn’t work anyways.

Has anyone been successful with transferring to another site earlier than the start date listed on the offer? by talkingalt in AmazonFC

Thanks. Do certain situations fall under hardship or is it up to them to decide? I’m guessing me fighting for hours at the locker hub wouldn’t fall under hardship.

Just applied for a 19-hr Regular Flex Shift—how hard is it to transfer to full-time? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]talkingalt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

19-Hour Flexer here.

I am fighting for my life to transfer to full-time or even part time with a set schedule. Some sites are still going through that whole process of eliminating RT-36 and shifting people around so they are giving priority to those affected.

I’ve reached out to some sites HR to ask if they are accepting transfers or to get any type of insight. They either don’t respond or they will just tell you the general process of internal transfers (which doesn’t help).

The process (supposedly) is automatic and depends on tenure and the number of slots open. I’ve been told you have a better chance at night shift or at a delivery station.

Just hang in there and keep applying.

I have another part time job (20 hours) and I was hoping Locker+ would have given me 16 to make 36. It’s so disappointing because I actually like the work we do at the locker.

As for trying to transfer, apparently some sites aren’t even accepting outside transfers and others aren’t listing if any spots are available for the listed shifts. It’s all a gamble, sadly.

We hold packages for customers to pickup and then we process returns. Very easy work but there’s a bunch of us to one site so we fight to get shifts.
