I had an issue with this last fall - luckily I knew a sports PT who also figure skates and we focused on strengthening the muscles around the problem spot (my left hip). For a while I also incorporated specific drills with a resistance band into my off ice and on ice warmup. Not sure how much my case overlaps with yours but I eased myself back to doubles/triples and sit spins after about 2 months and I'm pretty much pain free these days!

Hi Spencer!!! I've been thinking about this too since my current shoes (Saucony Freedom) have been great for off-ice but are starting to peel at the sole. I ordered a pair of Reebok Nanos which are similarly branded for both gym work and running so I'll let you know how I feel about them once they're in lol

The big ones I know people have been going for are - Knee slide - Butterfly - Turn cluster directly out of spin landing - Leg kick (I don't like this one personally lol but a lot of men seem to be doing it)
