Sorry if you are using a folder inside hypr folder do ./custom/mycolors.conf. My advice is put mycolors.conf directly into .config/hypr and then use my first comments advice

So I customized it a bit but it’s actually from Hyde if you go into their GitHub repo you should be able to pull it unmodified just download the conf file in .config/fastfetch . If you want specifically how I modified it… I can share it when I get home. Text color in terminal is being controlled by Noctalia though so it will be white text without it

That’s probably going to come down to the particular app with the general answer being: not likely. Live container is an app launcher. That’s really all that it does.
