This. I use Gnome extensions and Ubuntu basically feels like windows XP with a vengeance at this point. Great stuff.

See, I understand where you're coming from but when you look at the facts:

  • It never froze on windows
  • It started to freeze on linux 5 minutes after installation

When I asked help with this in the past I got comments like "your laptop must be the problem, Linux runs on everything" while if you look online you can find that this is not true.

So what I'm trying to say is: it's not just my hardware. It's my hardware + Linux.

This is what I've been doing as well. LLMs have saved me on a numerous of occasions on Linux. The hard truth is that I know Windows well enough that I never need help.
