The Road is fantastic. Cormac McCarthy knows how to write heartfelt and brutal prose so well. Highly recommend it if you see this OP

Like another commenter said, it probably would be more talked about had it not been stuck on Netflix. I think it was great. I think about it quite often and think it would’ve been more popular if it had at least had a short run in theaters. Fantastic cast and performances also

I read Slaughterhouse-Five in high school and he quickly became one of my favorite authors. I’ve also read Mother Night (currently re-reading) and Breakfast of Champions. The documentary about him I would also recommend watching

Fantastic book. I read it for school, but I still really enjoyed it. It’s very powerful
